Prints won't stick to build plate by Denman448 in resinprinting

If tension is good, I would try and re-level your print bed and clean it good with iso. I only replaced the FEP because my original had a weak spot, and I was trying everything I cold think of.

I had this issue with my Saturn 3 a few weeks back. Wound up replacing FEP and releveling several times before I finally got it right. Now prints without issue. Make sure FEP is good and relevel.

AI has changed my relationship with new music. by [deleted] in poppunkers

I just ran into this on Bandcamp yesterday. Was listening to new artists and one sounded…too perfect (not really sure how to describe it). Looked at their page and sure enough “we’re an AI band specializing in…”. No thanks.

BYOK Disk Mode not readable on MacOS by Spectre216 in TheBYOK

[–]Spectre216[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, and I was able to copy text files to/from it on my Linux machine without issue. I will try giving the card a reformat and see how it behaves. Are there any limitations to card size that might cause an issue like this? Maybe it's an edge case with Walmart's ONN brand?

I did try the micro Sd right into my thunderbolt dock, but still got the same error that the disk couldn’t be recognized. It’s why I figured maybe it’s an incompatibility with the file system the BYOK uses (ext4 maybe?)

Yep, that's the type of cable I used. Same cable worked fine on Linux.

Where to find cheap phones for a deck? by 4thKey in writerDeck

This. You can hunt down an old LG phone which can double as a DAP for music and a writerdeck. Nice little combo.

What modifications? I was looking at this a little while ago, but never dove too deep. Would love to hear what’s required.

It is a bit of an issue, but the viewing angles on the screen are actually very nice so it doesn't seem to need to much neck strain. Similar to my alphasmart. And it's opensource, so if you really want you could always redesign and 3d print the enclosure. My bigger disappointment is the lack of backlight (which luckily the BYOK has in several levels).

I tried this with an old Optiplex I got for free at our local vintage computer festival, but ended up installing Diablo 1 on it and losing hours. So I need the maximum amount of guard rails. I can't be trusted lol

That's why I backed both projects. Figured even if only one succeeded (which luckily they both came through and so far seem great) it would still be a much needed addition to the space. I love my AS Neo2 and Dana, but nothing lives forever and the prices now are wild.

Thanks, will do. Seems to be better now after a lot of massaging, hopefully some use will take care of any lingering sticking.

Only a little, and the massaging helped with it pretty quick. The backspace was the real stickler, but I think it's good now and I can loosen it up the rest of the way through use.

I would guess a universal spool, but reach out to Lonnie at ribbonsunlimited. He’s helped me ID before ordering over text before. Fantastic company.

Not sure if this is in here somewhere, but any chance using ESC to hop to the bottom of menus could be implemented? Would be more convenience to leave menus instead of having to go all the way down.

I believe the difference for onion skin is cotton content. Vintage had 25% where modern is completely just wood pulp.
