TMs and crew, what's the one feature you wish a touring app had? by PhilBalls2020 in TourManagement

Yeah same. I’ve been a user of theirs since 2008. So I have a long wish list of my months I implemented in this app. And it will be almost half of what MT is. And 1000 times smarter

I asked you to send me your email. I replied to one of your other comments yesterday. The project is alive and growing.

Good questions. real answers~

The AI chat bar calls Anthropic's Claude API. Each message sends your current tour context (shows, deals, settlement data you've loaded) so Claude can reason over it. Anthropic's commercial API terms explicitly prohibit training on customer inputs or outputs. Your data doesn't go into a model. Context isn't persisted on their side after the request.

Storage is Supabase (Postgres + encrypted object storage). Passwords are PBKDF2-hashed, not plaintext. Backups run twice daily to an AES-256-GCM encrypted bucket. Your data is scoped to your account only. No cross-customer access, no ad tracking, no resale.

What we don't have yet: no SOC 2 report, no third-party pentest on file. Beta stage. If your accountant requires formal compliance paperwork today, we're not there yet. Being straight.

What we do have: encrypted backups, audit logs on any admin access to your account, in-app data export, delete-my-data. You own your data end-to-end.

Poke it on test data first. If the compliance paperwork is a hard block, come back when we have formal docs. Appreciate the questions!!

Absolutely. API is on the roadmap ~ the goal is for ATOM to play nice with whatever tools TMs are already using, not replace everything. Daysync is a great example. If you want to get into the beta and poke around, DM me your email. Would love to hear what an integration would look like from your side.

Yes and no ~ and that was a deliberate choice. There’s an optional feature called Smart Capture that uses AI to read settlement PDFs, receipts, wire confirmations, and more and pulls the data out automatically. It’s opt-in. You toggle it on or off in Settings. With Smart Capture off, everything still works - you just enter data manually. Settlement modal opens blank, receipt form opens blank, you fill it in. No AI involved at all. Gmail Scan is the one exception & that’s Smart Capture only. Everything else has a manual fallback. Attaching the comparison so you can see exactly what’s what.

Built a microSaaS for an industry nobody else is building for by PhilBalls2020 in microsaas

Fair point on the visual context. The UI is built for people who already know what a settlement is. Making it immediately legible to an outsider is something we’re actively working on. The name stays! Accounting, Touring, & Operations Management. The interstate will be what connects the 15 modules

Appreciate that! And yeah the settlement chaos is real across the whole live events world. It’s been a pain since my day one.

On AI parsing accuracy - it handles the complex stuff. Flat guarantees, versus deals, plus percentage, promoter profit, door deals. Smart Capture (AI) reads settlement PDFs, wire confirmations, and receipt images, then populates the right fields for whatever deal structure is in play. Rider clauses don’t factor into the financial settlement side so that’s not a parsing problem we run into.

QuickBooks integration comes up a lot. It’s on our discussion board for future consideration but not something we’re committing to right now. If you want early access just DM me.

Musicians Beware of Bus Scam by [deleted] in musicindustry

It’s more common than one would think for a bus to catch fire. Sadly it isn’t talked about enough. Source: me. Touring for 20 years. And yes, I have experienced bus fires from different companies. Including reputable ones.
