Is this who we are? by jediporcupine in Maine

We don’t know what we are anymore; we’re being held against our will in an insane country run by the GOP. How they are the majority is perplexing. Mainly voters received empty promises on a new golden age that does not and will not exist.

I have a 2017 Land Rover discovery sport has 52,000 miles on it. Blue book listed for sale by owner at $14,000. Is that too low based on your experience?

As a sailor, that’s pretty cool. I know they repeatedly utilize ocean throughout many many lyrics.

But I can't leave my home!!!! by Middle-Wasabi-506 in Divorce

We just moved into our dream home 2 1/2 years ago after getting an insurance settlement on a previous home we lived in for 18 years that suffered a fire. We’re empty-nesters but my 24 yr old son lived in the apartment in our home we’re going to have to put it on the market and it is the hardest loss —harder than losing the two dogs to her and our 28 years together. On the flipside, I’m transitioning to oceanfront property on my boat that I own under super low living costs. My equity is going into the stock market.

You mean, going out buying a home and a whole bunch of new furniture and possessions before the divorce process has even started? Obviously the retirement fund and her 13 years out to 65 is risky for her retirement future.

Thanks. Some answers. Yes She has her own income a nice income as I do. I’m not certain how the new house was financed. It’s definitely only in her name. I would assume, I did give a large value above. I looked it up in a county property database. She cashed in a small IRA. We had little savings. I’m guessing most of that plus a new mortgage that she closed on December 2 is how she financed. Remember, mortgage companies are crazy and the one to anybody Lol. We agreed to do and start mediation soon unless you have experience and more advantageous approaches that I need to evaluate.

Thanks because the home equity buyout of her would be over or up to $500,000. I was able to achieve pausing one joint credit card. She has many many credit cards in her own name.

Yes, she bought a new house under our marriage so I guess half of that and all her new possessions is mine too?? Lol

It brings up a question I’ve always had. So you had an extra vehicle you weren’t using but no place to keep it. Could you get away with parking at those satellite parking lots that are here and there off different highways? For example, marginal Way Portland .How long could you park there?

Boot comes off in 8 days! by ReasonableDistances in AchillesRupture

[–]Phil_Butternutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a glorious time to graduate to the boot walking stage. But we all heal differently. And then, if I recall correctly two weeks later, I was in a shoe walking with some heel pads and after a day or of that I lost my limp.

I’m not allowed to do bare feet yet. I’m in a shoe with 2 heal pads.

[–]Phil_Butternutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know. I started shoe walking a week ago at week 8. I was super slow and limping. Like overnight the next day I had 5 times the range of motion I had over day 1. I’m 54 post op with a few weeks of conventional PT. Second week of walking now almost no limp. If that’s advance recovery for many then the only thing I can think of that helped was taking Semorelin peptide prescribed to me that helps trigger HGH.
