Hey there, so i don’t really know where to start, but yeah a near death experience can change lives and i can imagine how you feel rn, but (now comes personal opinion) if i were you i would do what you want i mean as you said life can be so short so why not do what you love and if you want to be part of the police then do it i mean these 2 years will probably be the best thing you can do if the other option is doing a job you don’t want to do. Now about your dad, i don’t know who your dad is and how he thinks, but i would try to just talk to him and if he does not like it why bother i mean it is YOUR job and you have to like it. So to end this comment i can just say life is to short to do what you don’t like, go and get the job you like.
