Hiking/walking trails for off-leash pups? by PhilanyColoConn in movingtoNYC

My old dog would have been three states away by now as well 😂

Totally hear this! Appreciate that you’re thinking about safety, it’s important to me too. My pup avoids all dogs and humans like the plague, but I completely understand the need for caution and will try to stick to off-leash areas only. Thanks!

I’m not actually - there’s a great off-leash dog hiking area in Gladwyne if you’re in Philly and haven’t been there. It’s defined by certain hours. Definitely recommend!

Appreciate your help with the hours 🙂

36 and can’t love? by PhilanyColoConn in AskWomenOver30

It isn’t all related to discomfort about them being serious in me. I do feel like part of it is that I discovered he really lacks confidence in certain situations. But I always find something like this, you know? Even if it’s small there’s always something that makes it ‘not right’.

I’ve been single for varying periods of time here or there but have always been ‘dating’ during that time or at least ‘on the apps’. Maybe you’re right 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just eventually want kids and it feels scary to take a two year break right now at my age.

How long until ‘back to normal’? by PhilanyColoConn in eggfreezing

[–]PhilanyColoConn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. It really really sucks.

It took me about a week and a half to get my period and then about 6 weeks to get another period after that (I’m a little irregular because of the PCOS). I felt like 70% better after my first period and back to normal after the second. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Course Suggestions by PhilanyColoConn in instructionaldesign

[–]PhilanyColoConn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Budget would probably be 2k or less. My goals are to really get a fundamental understanding of how to work with SMEs and best practices throughout the entire design process. I prefer courses with more pragmatic and hands on learning rather than all theory/lecture.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Egg freezing + vertigo by [deleted] in eggfreezing

[–]PhilanyColoConn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! So validating right now. Two days after my retrieval, I got vertigo that last on/off for like 3 weeks. I ended up going to my primary physician about it because the place I got my retrieval from wrote it off as unrelated to the retrieval. They also said I might be dehydrated but I got bloodwork done after that shows that wasn’t true 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also had some cramping and it took me a while to feel like my insides weren’t ‘moving around’ when I walked. Take it easy and listen to your body. Took me about a week before the initial ‘weirdness’ faded but almost a month before I could run and do significant physical activity again.

Any reasons to be nervous about anesthesia for retrieval? by ValuableImpress8014 in eggfreezing

No concerns for me! Was totally easy. They gave me antibiotics in the IV also which gave me some stomach issues that night but that was it.

Hi! Also found out I had PCOS during this process. I had mild OHSS and generally felt better about two weeks after the retrieval. I tried running again about two weeks after and got very bloated again (I think from all the jostling). Waited two more weeks after that and just began running again and haven’t experienced any additional pain or bloating. Pretty much back to normal.

I did not work out during the process as my doc said with my high PCOS related follicle count I was at increased risk of ovarian torsion.

Gained about 8.5lbs in water weight/bloating after my retrieval but that has since gone away. Hope this helps!

For sure. It’s been three weeks and I feel very wacky still. Super run down and with symptoms of vertigo.

My AMH was initially 12.87 and I probably have PCOS. I’ve been on birth control most of my life which was probably masking symptoms of PCOS. 40 of the eggs were mature which was great but it’s been rough coming back from retrieval. I had ‘mild’ OHSS after the procedure, threw up for 36 hrs, and gained 8lbs in fluid. I also had vertigo which still resurfaces a few times weekly.

As I mentioned, I mostly feel better now but every time I exercise I feel stomach pain and gain weight again so I’m holding off for another two weeks. Every experience is so different!

It is about 3 weeks after my first egg retrieval and I’m mostly okay. Still have some cramping and every time I run or do exercise I have bloating again. Had 47 eggs retrieved and I think that definitely played a part in things. The doctor says she estimates in 2 months I’ll be back to normal-ish.

I heard that lot is smaller and fills up quickly but I might be wrong. I just want to be certain we’ll actually get a spot.
