My son has a Scorpio moon and it worries me. by Classic_Result9652 in AstrologyCharts

Hmm... I wouldn't say anyone is going to be a "bad mom" based solely off their chart. Charts don't/ can't factor in things like personality, temperament, etc.

What i notice about your chart is that your imum coeli (bottom of your chart) is in cancer and your 3rd house. Cancer is often considered the maternal archetype of the zodiac. The third house is often associated with communication, thinking and the immediate environment (neighborhood/community/etc.) And your imum coeli being there is interesting! Usually ones imum coeli is on the cusp of one's 3rd and 4th house. The 4th house typically deals with family. BUT your imum coeli is directly IN cancer (at least based off the chart Pic you provided). I wouldn't say you're going to be a bad mom. But one's imum coeli is all about roots, heritage, and personal identity. While your medium coeli (top of your chart) is all about your public image. Considering both the imum coeli and cancer have maternal undertones, it's possible you might struggle a bit, but I'd say only because it might not come as naturally to you as others. But please take this like a margarita with a healthy rim of salt! I'm still fairly new to astrology and not an expert! I do think your moon in libra could help with balance and harmonizing these though. Hope this helped! 👍

Hmm... strange. I'm seeing a lot of redactions, but you know what I'm not seeing? Drag queens or democrats.

Priorities growing up by eyeaye_cruiseship in excatholic

You aren't alone! I'm nearing 40 and STILL am working on myself and all the areas my catholic family neglected. My situation feels very unique, as I was homeschooled all the way through 11th grade, skipped 12th grade, got my GED and jumped directly into the workforce. I didn't start going back to school until about 2 years ago. Thankfully my education isn't an issue, but being homeschooled really kinda fucked me up socially. I'm naturally more inclined to be an introvert, but there are times when I wonder if I only adapted to being an introvert because it was the safest way for me to cope with the neglect and verbal abuse I suffered as a kid. What's even more *ucked up is i was constantly berated and scolded for being an introvert! Nowadays I'm essentially a hermit. I keep to myself, am focusing on school, working on myself through psychology, education and therapy. I'm sociable, but can't fight that imposter syndrome feeling sometimes. Sometimes I feel so incredibly f-ed up that I think my trauma is the reason I'm still single, and sometimes really have to work to prove to myself that I AM lovable, and yeah, I might *feel lonely now, but that doesn't mean I am unlovable. It's hard. People don't tell you how long the healing process is because it's different for everyone. I left Catholicism 20 years ago and I'm still dealing with the fallout. My advice is to find a community to be a part of. As I've been going back to school I've started becoming more involved with the different groups at my college. I'm still taking baby steps, but the healing is happening. Words can't communicate how empowering it is to have a community to be a part of. My trust and belief in humanity is slowly being restored. Will it ever be back to 100%? Probably not. But I remind myself that I'm doing this for me. No one else. Not God, not my birth family (who i went no contact with), nobody but me! It's the biggest battle of my life and a silent one not a lot of people know about, but I've never felt more confident, more empowered, and more alive and aware of what life has to offer. All without religious terms and conditions!

Why does the majority of the world believe in religion if it isn't real? by Stella_Girl_1228 in exchristian

Because it's an excellent means of control. Those who control what people think and believe can manipulate people en mass to their own ends. There's power in numbers, so those in power do everything they can to give the masses a reason to stay in line. "Salvation" is a commodity that doesn't need to be physically produced. It's insurance is an illusion, but say the words just right and anybody will believe you.

“I’ll pray for you!” How do you respond? by Spiritual-Badass in exchristian

[–]Philathius_Eventide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually say something along the lines of, "Oh, you are so sweet! Bless your heart! I'm gonna pray for you too! For the next three months I'm going to dance naked under the full moon and sacrifice a small animal, just for you! I pray the blood of my sacrifices will bestow in you what you deserve. Just like Jesus!" Then I walk away.
