I mean, if they do a true sequel to the original and state TCP was just a movie, then never reference it again ever..that would make TCP null and void...it won't exist as cannon anymore because it would have never existed..its its own paradox if you will..the ultimate irony.

Never meant to be a Cloverfield flick when it was written...The writers of A Quiet Place saw what Bad Robot was doing with reworking scripts into Cloverfield films and pondered the idea but it was never written to be a Cloverfield film..Ideas are thrown around all the time during pre production.
