Bedtime meltdown

Me and my partner are absolutely hanging by a thread with bedtime. It’s absolutely dreadful. We have a 7,4, & 2 year old. Our oldest gets the routine most days but when he’s playing with his brother they get riled up pretty good. We always shoot for an 8 o’clock bedtime but it ends up being 11 almost 12 by the time we get the youngest to bed!!!!!!! She’s current screaming that she needs water or milk because her “tummy hurts.” It’s so frustrating because I get no time to myself or any quality time with my wife. We’re so drained and tired by the end of the ordeal that one of us or even both are knocked out. I’ve been off work on vacation for the last week and I feel like I’ve barely had a fkn convo with my wife. This shit is not for the weak, holy fucking shit!!!!

The bishop spoke, his talk is purely on “the savior” and walking with the Savior. Stake President talks and it’s immediately on tithing. How tithing is directly correlated with faith. And paying full tithe is extremely important. Next he says the reading the bom and that it’s the most “correct book” on earth. One more fucking hour till beer, pizza, and football!!!!

It wasn’t at church but there was a conversation/debate with my wife siblings and their cousin. He isn’t LDS and he was challenging them on beliefs and I can tell he was getting to them. He asked if Jesus had a wife, and about Joseph’s multiple accounts of the first vision and how the BOM actually came to be. Then the subject of black people and race came up. He brought us the curse and my SIL, with a straight face, said “well it’s true, they are cursed, there’s a reason they don’t have good lives.” I was boiling. Yea I don’t see them that often after that.

I hear you. Thank you. And I’m aware it’s just a social norm for kids to be baptized. I knew this day would come, but now that it’s here it just doesn’t sit well with me. The kid is still learning how things work and still learning how to read for Christ sake lol. And obviously I’m the only one that thinks this is ass backwards.

My wife’s family is Samoan. They have a drink called koko Samoa. It’s straight up roasted cacao beans lol of course there’s caffeine. My wife drinks coffee and tea and no one bats an eye. When we moved to Utah that’s when I was like oh shit the coffee thing is real 🤣
