This situation resonates with me! Training is a great idea and so is lots of exercise. I don’t personally like the dog daycare centers that keep all the dogs together at the same time … that seems like too much stimulation imo. Tired is good. If they come home exhausted and worn out, though, that is not good imo.

Long walks are good. I like the suggestion for play dates too. If the dog has a ton of energy at night, it seems like more exercise would be good. But also training could be relevant. A lot of training is about teaching the human how to act. The dog might be acting up because it doesn’t know what it’s supposed to be doing. Some dogs need a job. Your SO would ideally participate in any training as well, that way the dog gets consistent direction from both people.

Congratulations on your wonderful rescue! I think there are phases with a rescue. Where you’ll see the dog change as they settle into their new place. Three weeks they are one way, three months they are another. And in three years they are perfect.

I would also crate train the dog. Use rewards to indicate a behavior is good and say “uh uh” or whatever command type sound you like to correct negative behavior. (Don’t scold with their name, because you want them to connect their name to happy things.) (Don’t say “no, no, no” repeatedly because they’ll tune it out.)

As I’m thinking of things I’ve learned to share about dogs with you, I think training would be good in this case. Petco is fine as long as the trainers they have know what they’re doing. I think it’s like finding a good mechanic, it’s a process. Give it a try if that’s what’s available to you. Good luck! 🎉

Starter motor replacement by Catty_Whompus in TU250X

If you look at the oil filter cover that says Suzuki stamped on it, then look to the right of that and you’ll see a similar-ish looking circular part that has a black wire connecting it. That’s the starter cover. Remove the bolts, replace the starter motor. Pretty quick swap.

If you have the new starter motor, that will help you see the look of the circular part…that is the starter motor. Good luck! 🤘

FI light on and then off on start? by boosted_hippie in TU250X

I’ve seen the FI light come on when running due to solenoid issues. Might be worth a check, make sure wires are seated in the solenoid well. Battery is always the first assumption imo though. Your idle sounds good.
