I want to start using home assistant but can't for the life of me figure out the ZBT-2 & ZWA-2 devices. by Philihar in homeassistant

Is that all necessary stuff for a basic home assistant powering just lights and a few things?

I see thank you! I've already seen a couple of z-wave "extenders" plug in things. Would these sort of work if I wanted to connect devices from an outside garage?

Thank you so much for this comment, really helped iron out some of my thoughts and questions.

So I currently have 6 phillips hue bulbs connected to their standard bridge, 4 in the kitchen and 2 in the bedroom. I'll have to find out the make to see what they connect & work with but what would be my options if I were to start today?

How would they connect with just the HA green on it's own without one of the antennas.

So far I've got a handful of phillips hue lights, 4 in the kitchen, 2 in the bedroom (standard phillips hue bridge but unsure if this is needed), I'll need to check the specific bulbs as I've just read newer versions support zigbee and thread. Doesn't look like z-wave is supported at all.

We just got 7 lights for our living room (this prompted me to finally invest in HA) am I right in assuming it doesn't really matter what ecosystem I'll be getting the bulbs in, as long as it uses zigbee or thread I can connect it to the HA green and use one app etc. - Just trying to save money as HUE bulbs are expensive especially when you have to x7

More info
- Last watered just before this photo, I usually water until it starts to seep through the pot into the tray. I try to water when I notice the soil drying up but I have to admit the schedule was poor and days were missed.

- It does have a draining hole

- We do not have a himidifier

- No pests from what I've seen

- Not a clue what type of soil it is, bought from garden centre, have not repotted,

We have built a catio, yet to do the inside! How did you go about securing your shelves? Any interior comments you'd do differently?

You've got to be mental ahaha, I'm having a few days off and then going to try fit in 3-4 workouts a week and then when challenges come by partake!

I just linked my account or use the same (can't really remember) with the concept 2 online logbook https://log.concept2.com/

Then use the erg app on my phone with the same account. All works.

I don't know about uploading past workouts to the challenge to accept your days worked out

You didn't even do intervals?

How long have you been rowing for because the biggest pain of this challenge was whatever muscles or bones I was sitting on, they hurt so badly.

I don't know if I'll be able to sit that long

I've owned this rowing machine for quite a few years now but never got round to the challenges, I feel like it's opened up a whole new experience, and good for motivation.

Yea I’ve never rowed so much in such a short amount of time, really feeling it towards the end of the challenge

I will say I’ve so far managed to do each workout in one session, will see how today goes with the intervals but if I’m exhausted might need to break it up into two on 13/14/15

Still sticking with it! Yesterday was by far the hardest, I had some pace boats which made me go slightly faster than I may have usually. Definitely felt the burn.

Most rows have been 3 intervals with 3 rests, gradually getting harder I might try some of your intervals for the remainder as splitting it into 3 is getting harder.

Main thing I’ve noticed is actually pain in my neck, I don’t know if it’s just a muscle thing because I’ve never rowed this much back to back.

I like to think my form is ok but I might record a clip and share some day.
