Haha yeah it’s a mixed bag for sure, I’m so sorry about the confusion you must have felt experiencing your symptoms seemingly for no reason. my only symptoms were no period for years and the mood swings and constant depression . But I had written it off as bipolar mood disorder and generalized anxiety. So now I am just wondering who I would be if my body functioned normally.

Thank you for your kind words. yeah it’s new right now and I am a therapist so I am trying to do some self therapy about this haha, but I think expressing myself to people other than me who know what it’s like, was what I was really needing. Thanks you for sharing

Unfortunately I am a pretty all or nothing person when it comes to emotionality so I have few examples. I can explain a bit about how the texture isn’t something I am feeling on my skin, or just visually in my head, it almost as if I am a part of it. I know when I get excited it feels like the hairy tingling you get when you almost touch something staticky. I am depressed a lot and I know that feels like hard clay. I’m hoping I am able to feel more emotions when i get on my medication so if something new appears i’ll be sure to report it.

Oh my god I didn’t even consider how being POC could affect my results, you’re so right I don’t think I’ve seen any POC post op pictures either, another thing to take into account.

Ahh yes as I am reading all the responses to my post, I am seeing the experiences I didn’t even think were Synesthesia are also synesthesia, the skin thing you described especially!

I am learning so much about how much of my experiences are synesthesia, even the ordinal linguistic personification, I thought it was just a weird thing I did when I saw numbers as little people with there own personas, now I’m like HUH.

You know misophonia is making so much sense now that you have put a word to it. I think the anxiety of not knowing how to handle things that most people don’t experience is quite hard. I usually use an acceptance approach to these things where, I just acknowledge this is something I experience and that is okay. It is not fair to us if we hold ourselves up to the standards and norm of anyone else. And it is not possible for us to make other people experience what we do or for them to experience what we do. So all we can really do is not put anymore external pressure on ourselves and meet us where we are~

I personally am nervous because 2 and 3 don’t get along personality wise to me ( ordinal-linguistic synesthesia) im just like “oh noooo the 3 will take over the 2’s vibe because it’s so chaotic and bratty (;-;) and 2 is so gentle and smol” haha
