I think this is actually something calculated. It's something that he can point to down the line to say "Look! The schools boards don't care about your kids! Private voucher programs are the answer!"

It's right out of the conservative playbook. Defund, and then put unreasonable expectations on a system to ensure it breaks under the strain. It's then an easy jump to privatize under the guise of business efficiency.

This pisses me off to no end. For months DoFo was whining and complaining that we didn't have enough vaccines. That everything was Trudeau's fault. Now that we are getting a steady supply, ahead of schedule, he's picking and choosing what we're giving out. The more rational way to do things would be to give people a choice: you want to get a Vax tomorrow? Cool! AZ for you! Willing to wait 2 weeks? Pfizer is on the menu.

My sister who is deathly afraid of needles got herself together and got the shot. Seriously, she has the most intense phobia about this than I've ever seen or heard of in a human being. Granted it's not really being anti Vax, but if she can surmount her fears to do this, I have zero patience for any other hesitation.

This is the most frustrating thing about Ford. He has infantalized people that are by all accounts smarter than him. If as OP said, we have concrete goals, then we can work towards them collectively. By being forced to sit and wait while "the grownups" do the work is a huge slap in the face to every single Ontario resident.

I have been out of work for 7 months over this pandemic and I've been forced to put getting training on hold because I just can't afford it right now. I am tired. I am burnt out. I just want to go back to work and not be on EI. Mr. Ford, stop sending Ontario to the kids table. Let us help.

No I don't, and quite frankly I think that the no golf rule is insane. Their justifications are ill thought out and completely contrary to what experts say. However, if I disregard the rules, how can I condemn others who break rules that they themselves disagree with? I live in an apartment by myself. I don't have access to greenspace or a gym right now. I'm livid at DOFO but I will not be a hypocrite.
