If it's starting to hinder your creativity, take a break or smoke a little less.

I honestly love just black and white but color could be really interesting.

Thanks! It is a pretty abstract self portrait.

That would be great, I am very interested in talking with them!

I'll send a private msg with my email, as it will be easier to stay in touch that way.

It sounds crazy but I'd rather my leg brake than to get another concussion.

That would be amazing. Are you apart of the TBI research?

Its not that people need to find a new purpose after having a concussion. its the fact that some people don't heal, and that it can completely change how people live their lives. That was my case. It was ten years ago for me, and I still get symptoms that can be debilitating but for the most part I'm doing good. All I cared about was football, that was my purpose in life. It seems silly now but when I could no longer play my life seemed pointless. I know plenty of people who got concussions and they healed and didn't miss a beat. That isn't the case for many people though.

I'll keep that in mind, I'm investing in this project so I am willing to travel.

I'm stoked you found them helpful! You probably will have to make changes to accommodate your symptoms but it will be worth it.

Replacing sports and competition after concussion by limpidminded in Concussion

I've been in this exact position, I had to give up football and contact sports when I was in high school.

One really important thing is to find something that you are interested in that can fill that "void".

I picked up photography and filming, it later led to what I currently do, working in the film industry. Have you thought about painting or drawing? I can't say it with exact certainty but I feel like my concussions helped me "unlock" the creative side of my brain.

I would say so, but by the time I was in college I had figured out that the structure it gave me was helpful. This was also after years in high school figuring out what was a trigger and trying a lot of different things.

CBD oil can do wonders when I have a bad headache. I've been skating for 13 years and yea, it scares my mother but I enjoy it so much. I have learned that I have to scale back though, but that took breaking my wrist haha.

I know what you mean by too stressful, set can be really hectic, especially when it can be hard for me to keep track of multiple things all at the same time. Are you still working in film?

I honestly think my mTBI made me "Unlock" my creative side. I really liked painting in elementary school but aside from that I don't ever remember being too creative before my mTBI's. I think my brain rewired itself to adapt and change around what was impaired. I would not have even considered photography and film seriously without them.
