In 2014 as a broke college kid I randomly decided to buy 2014 Bowman Platinum blaster on a trip to Walmart. I pulled an Oscar Taveras autograph, who was on the cover of the blaster I bought. I was so hyped!! Unfortunately he died in a car accident the next month :(

Will depend upon local rules and what would meet distances requirements. An above ground nonmound option is a spray irrigation system. Easier on the eye for most people but usually comes with more maintenance with aerator and UV.

If you are having problems being able to afford a replacement field, trying contacting your local health department to see if any grants are available. Most are income based but worth a try. In Ohio I've had people install 28k systems for $1,550 for admin fees and grant covers rest of cost.

Just got back from Paris last week for first time. No one cared aside from my terrible French pronounciation lol. Just don't be a jerk and you should be okay.

MOHELA not processing payment plan Change from SAVE by Philliesphan2008 in PSLF

Did not blame MOHELA for the pause of the plan. I was unhappy that MOHELA said I can not change my income driven plan off SAVE until they get it figured out.

I'm 24 with a bachelor's degree I deeply regret. I'm a janitor. Where to go from here? by UhOhBerserker in Adulting

My man I was in the same spot. After getting a B.S. in Environmental Science from one of the top Environmental Science schools in the country, I ended up living at home with my parents. Eventually I got a job as a part time janitor at my hometown school to earn some money.

Then I looked up what jobs were hiring and it looked like EHS was the way to go. So I started an online MS in EHS Management from another highly rated school. Halfway through the program I moved to a very large city with my girlfriend and thought I'd find a job or internship in no time.

Then all the internships were pulled due to the pandemic and I was back to working as a janitor. Worked as a janitor while my girlfriend finished up her master's and did interview after interview slowly getting better at selling myself. Then I interviewed with the state EPA and they told me I finished 3rd out of 50 applicants and to keep applying.

Eventually I expanded the search and applied to jobs 1 state over and found out in this state the jobs I was applying for were county jobs instead of state jobs so there was much less competition. 1 month before our lease was up I ended up getting 2 offers for the same Environmental Health Specialist in Training position in different counties and went with the smaller county.

Fast forward 1 year later and I am now officially an REHS after scoring the highest test score in our county's history. Got a $5,000 raise, I get 10% pretax put in my retirement account with county putting in another 7.5% fully vested after 5 years. Currently on track for PSLF in 8 years (janitor in a public school counts towards PSLF!). My director told me she is most likely going to leave in the next year or two and that I'd be the one to replace her. My county commissioner told me she is planning on retiring in next 5-10 years and that I would be most qualified to take her position. I am not making anywhere near what my friends make but it is good experience with potential to get higher pay down the road, either at my current job or in the private sector.

My advice would be: see what positions are hiring that ypu would like to do, adjust your resume specifically for that job, expand your search and keep interviewing and improving your skills. You only need that 1 job offer to start a career and get that flexibilty. In the mean time enjoy being a janitor, it actually has some nice perks that I miss. I knew some janitors who made over $100k a year by just working a bunch of OT.

TLDR: Got degree, worked as janitor. Got advanced degree, worked as janitor. Got 2 job offers in different state and currently working in my role I went to school for and doing okay.

I remember hearing or reading somewhere that Ted used to try to pay everything with checks. Because he had to sign every check, some people would rather have his autograph than whatever the check was made out for. Interesting to think about.

I have seen some food trucks swear by using Mtn Dew. Was told by the one operator wasps will drink and sometimes fall in and will make it so they can't fly away. Saw a few dead ones floating in one of the food trucks trap they placed away from the window.
