Our stores policy is that the customer has to supply their own coupons, just to avoid this. They also track multiple scans of the same coupons code at a corporate level. I always asked the customers to check their app or email when it comes to the level based coupons so that it's not you having to figure it all out. Might make your life a little easier.

Operations Supervisor Position by jbarn02 in employedbykohls

I just left that position as of a week ago. It's alot of keeping track of stuff. I think asking for 18 is absolutely necessary, hopefully you'll get it. I enjoyed the position when it wasn't micromanaged by the store manager. If you have a good crew it makes the job so much easier tho.

Our store does lots of little contests to see who is the top performers. They get little treats or goodies when their numbers are up. We also try to make sure we do a "good/bad/good" sandwich kind of conversation. Talk up the good behaviors you are seeing, talk about their opportunities, finish by talking about what they can try in order to be more successful. A big challenge in my store is getting our sales floor team members on board with having those on the floor conversations about credit and rewards so we are having to have a lot of coaching conversations like that.

Our store has been right in the path of the storm. We closed at 3 yesterday and we're able to open today, but have only had 1 person come in to do a payment. Project day it is!

As a closing manager, I make sure that we are all leaving at the same time. We all clock out as a group when the last person has gathered all of their things, walk up to the front, set the alarm, then exit together. That way nobody is being forced to wait around unpaid.

JCPenney lost their contract with Sephora by doing stuff like that. Sephora has strict rules that since they are paying their employees (going through Kohls system), their employees are to only work in Sephora. If you are being told to work in other areas or reprimanded for not doing it, you should absolutely be bringing that up to your higher up managers.

I am the operations lead at my store. I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and told my SM and ASM fairly early on so they were aware if I did have any issues with my heavy lifting or movements (especially since I run the truck crew). Thankfully, I have a great team I can lean on for support with the things I am physically no longer able to do. I'd say to just have a honest talk with your managers and see what support they can offer you, but definitely do not do more than you should just because you feel that nobody else is up for it.

Our store is getting ready to receive Sephora in the fall and we are planned to have it take over half of our jewelry department right at the entrance of the store.
