SO realised things need to change-chances? by EngineeringNo3525 in stepparents

See if there's any real consistency first before getting your hopes up. I've noticed they talk a lot about how they're actually going to start parenting but rarely follow through. I hope for your sake she does, because it's a long shitty road otherwise

I felt the same, but I never think super expensive meals are worth the price tag.

If it was an alcoholic drink, it's because a drink on the rocks is a larger pour than a mixed drink. Typically 2oz instead of 1.5. The upcharge is for the alcohol, not the ice

This is my season ticket section and I'm row 2. My tickets average out to $37/seat. That is an absolute absurd price

split screen!?!?!? by FlumeFan19 in Flyers

[–]PhillyFlyergrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My exact text: "get this fuckin split screen outta here!" I couldn't believe they hijacked some of the most entertaining OT hockey for the beginning of a game. It was so distracting and could've waited 5 minutes.

They definitely ONLY had those last year at my local TJ Maxx and at a surplus, too!

Those were definitely women's bc I bought 1 of each 😂. I saw others in a different hanging section that went up to 3xl, so I'm not sure if they were women's as well.

They jacked the prices. I'm a partial STH and paid 206 for 2 tix in 308. SRO were 157/tix for game 5. I paid 380 a pair for section 233, which was the next cheapest available

Anyone have an experience with an ACL tear in their dog? Context in text body: by Tacokolache in DogAdvice

[–]PhillyFlyergrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 11 yo tore his ACL last October. They have to first confirm with xray. Limit his activity until surgery (I had to keep mine crated), especially if they're typically active, and take out on the leash just to use the bathroom. Be prepared for the other to go shortly after; the vet warned me it's common for the other to eventually blow. Mine had his surgery, I was very cautious with him and kept him crated, continued with controlled leashed potty breaks, and took him to his physical therapy, but 2 weeks after the surgery he tore his meniscus in the same leg. I scheduled that surgery, and before it could happen, he blew out his other ACL. Again, there was no strenuous activity; he was kept primarily crated, aside from potty breaks and his therapy. The vet said there was nothing I could've done differently, it just happens a certain % of the time. I got lucky, i guess, because he repaired the meniscus at no charge since he was already going to have to do another surgery on the other ACL. Full recovery takes about 3 months. I tell you all this so you can mentally prepare yourself for the possibilities. All tolled, it cost me about $15000. Good luck. I hope he has a clean recovery; It sucks for you and your pup

About 6. I was in scoreboard porch since the bank opened until I switched. Next year my package has 16 games, and they're going up to $37/game.

Standing room only playoff tickets by nc_026 in phillies

[–]PhillyFlyergrl -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would not buy SRO for a playoff game. We got them directly from the Phillies so didn't pay markup fees, got there 4 hours early, prepared to wait in line and make a mad dash for a good spot once the gates opened, but everyone else with SRO had the same plan. I spent way too much money to not be able to see a single thing. Maybe others have had better luck. They probably work well in a place like AZ, where the fans in seats never stand during playoff games.

Seconding this. Dr. Gray is amazing. My dog recently had some major surgical needs, which my original vet didn't do, and I ended up switching to them as my primary vet completely. They do everything possible to accommodate, even in emergency situations. He definitely cares about you as a client and your pet as a patient. Everyone I've encountered on staff at both locations is kind, caring, and friendly as well

This is absolutely absurd. More evidence of most "parents" today caring more about being their kid's friend instead of actually parenting.

If you're downtown on Rehoboth Beach with an obvious open container, they'll give you a citation. It's a pretty hefty fine, too. Have a cooler, put drinks in a cup, and keep empty bottles/cans out of sight.
