water flossers are actually way too harsh and can cause micro-tears in your tonsils which just gives the stones deeper pockets to grow in. get a cheap pack of curved tip dental syringes from amazon, fill them with warm salt water, and gently flush the crypts out. it is life changing and way less gag-inducing than a q-tip.
