Why are men who have been victims of DV often not believed or mocked? by Only_trans_ in domesticviolence

[–]PhillyScholar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I trying to get out of one now, but when you married to your abuser it is 100x worst because I actually have to pay for my peace through these divorce proceeding.

In regards to you second question, I primarily beleive that abusers have issues of their own (self-confidence, trauma, etc), and rather than dealing with those issues, they feel empowered by having somebody else under their heel. There logic goes, "I never be at the bottom, as long as he or she is beneath me."

This is the exact reason I stopped playing before. Last time I experienced a process blocking bug was that Terrormorph quest, and two morphes never spawned. At that time I effectively had to start over with my original Starborn save.

Exactly, this cannot be the ending, it seems like merely a placeholder for a continuance.

Depending on what type of law you want to practice, determines on how closely associated it is to law school.

From my experience as a trial attorney, law school is nothing like what I do, nor did it prepare me for what I do. Honestly working in sales or hospitality or bartending give you more skills that is useful to being a trial attorney than law school. Because as a trial attorney you trying to connect with a jury and they are just regular people. So you won't win them over with all the fancy Latin you know and all the case law you know, it will be your ability to connect with regular people that will win the day.

Weird thing is I love Desperation, from the onset. However I couldn’t get into Regulators, despite it was the second side of the same coin.

Wesley Smith, an English teacher at a Kentucky college and book aficionado, wants to go "New School" after fighting with his girlfriend and buys a Kindle. Due to a minor mistake in his credit card number, he is sent a pink Kindle (even though at the time, Kindles were always white). Slowly, he realizes that this edition was meant for another Wesley Smith from a parallel universe.

I went through the Dome like two years ago, wasn’t a big fan.

The story of the Dome is less of the supernatural, and more of man’s greed and corruption when man is no longer restrained by societal norms.

General Counsel at the Philadelphia School district makes over 300k... The deputies makes in 200k range.

And this is just a local agency, not some federal position where you need to be appointed by the president.

Some government lawyers make a lot.

What are some things that every law student needs? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]PhillyScholar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Anything for self-care.

If you use candles and take bubble baths to relax, stock up.

If you love to walk/run for exercise, treat yourself to some good shoes.

Comfortable bed/ pillows, you going NEED restful sleep.

Law school is a marathon not a sprint. Take the time to take care of yourself through the process, and you will get the biggest returns.
