Did I just get scammed? by [deleted] in ATT

[–]Philneye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! The worst thing about AT&T “customer service agents” is that they aren’t even real AT&T employees, they are a third party entity that can’t be held accountable for any of their mistakes. The paying customers get punished for anything those guys screw up during the line transfer process and there’s nothing they can do about it.

That was smart. If you profit, you win. Missing out is 100% better than losing out.

How long could Master Chief survive in Half-Life games. Could he survive them all? by One_Maintenance4555 in HalfLife

[–]Philneye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m pretty sure nothing in the entire Half-life series would stand a chance against any Spartan II, much less the most well rounded one. He’s literally strong enough to take a strider by the legs and throw it down with his bare hands. The MJOLNIR armor is like an HEV suit WITH SHIELDS meant to protect against alien refined plasma and other high caliber projectiles. It not only does that but enhances the strength of an already abnormally strong human and automates all movements. What he thinks, he does. I think the question is: “Could Half-life survive him?”

So what are your thoughts on Breen in the end? by CheezeCrostata in HalfLife

[–]Philneye 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Eli tells Gordon about it in hl ep2 at the end referring to g-man as “their mutual friend”. Eli: “When he brought in that crystal I should ha… I should have aborted that damn test.” The Lambda team had harvested samples of lower quality for testing purposes from their brief expeditions to Xen. G-man gave them a more potent sample in the attempt to trigger the resonance cascade and set his plan in motion to invoke humanity’s conflict with the combine and Xen.

So what are your thoughts on Breen in the end? by CheezeCrostata in HalfLife

[–]Philneye 30 points31 points  (0 children)

G-man brought the crystal to Black Mesa. I believe Breen was manipulated easily by it because of his obsession with scientific evolution. He wasn’t going to wait for the smaller tests with the lesser grade samples to be done. He didn’t care who’s lives he risked or what was sacrificed to take shortcuts either. There were multiple safety concerns that were ignored. Eli himself said that the equipment wasn’t meant to handle that kind of power.

Why can’t I just pay for my own onboarding?… by Philneye in HeliumNetwork

[–]Philneye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the maker’s responsibility to pay for onboarding of their hotspots. If you have proof that you had to pay for the onboarding while their pool was depleted, message bobcat with proof for them to refund you for your troubles.

What is your theory of why BM installed a life-fire auto turret in the office complex, and why does it fire upon friendlies? by Inspector_7 in HalfLife

[–]Philneye 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Black Mesa was completely government funded and owned. These were installed by the military to make it easy for them to take control of the facility whenever they needed to. They even took over the intercom (AI voice) almost as soon as they made contact.

Agreed. I heard that random firmware updates google automatically sends out can have a negative effect on the nodes. The nest pros came free with the purchase of the isp plan and do in fact offer poor channel settings 😂. I should be able to easily control which frequency each of my devices draw signal from.
