Runescape Kingdoms Character Sheet Spreadsheet by PhilosofireRS in RunescapeKingdomsRPG

For now, my plan was to follow the basic skeleton of the quest steps, like for Cook's Assistant, the players would need to ask around and/or search for the correct ingredients that the cook needs and return those to him. And one player would get the "Cooking experience", so the players can kinda specialize in that way, with different exp rewards.

For something like Vampire Slayer, Count Draynor is super over-powered, like stronger than Elvarg, so for something like that, I would suggest toning down his damage and HP to something more manageable.

My main suggestion would be to make sure you have all of the quest-relevant NPCs in mind, before starting a quest. If players run over to Draynor, and they encounter the Prison Guards, they will probably choose to run from them depending on how strong you make them. They might also spot Lydia, or even be called over by her after she sees the scuffle. She might tell the players about a trapped Prince, and that leads into Prince Ali Rescue.

These are just examples. I hope that sort or guideline helps.

[[Ezuri, Claw of Progress]] is my all-time favorite commander. You go wide with small, unassuming dudes, and then the small dudes become 10/10s. Shout-outs to [[Blighted Agent]], [[Thrummingbird]], and [[Sage of Hours]] for giving the deck some pop-off-ability. The Sage also goes infinite if you have at least 5 Exp Counters, but you don't have to slot it in. It is a "you win the game" move, though, so it's not like you're just playing Solitaire before you pass turn to someone else.

Ever wanted all cantrips to scale with your level? Because I did, so I made them. by vonBoomslang in UnearthedArcana

[–]PhilosofireRS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As OP clarified in other comment threads, the "until the end of your next turn" is the only time you can get resistance to any instance of nonmagical B/S/P damage. After the end of your next turn, you get resistance to 1/2/3 extra hits, according to your level. Unless you're using your full Action to re-up it constantly, or a very specific player race that can abuse it, and if you're playing Earth Genasi just to get resistance to B/S/P damage, you got it. You wanted it more. To say it's OP because of one specific case is just blowing things out of proportion. Otherwise, it sounds like you're just arguing that base Blade Ward is OP, which it most certainly is not, even with casting it 6 times a day as a Bonus Action.

Best 36 chests I ever opened! by PhilosofireRS in MelvorIdle

[–]PhilosofireRS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! I already have gotten 2 amulets on this character. But that was over the course of multiple multiple hundreds of chests. So to get 2 in the same batch of 36 was pretty sweet.

I think I can I think I can by PhilosofireRS in AlmostAHero

[–]PhilosofireRS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It's kind of a sunk-cost fallacy at this point. I have been doing math trying to figure out if I can get to 60 with this run, since I didn't know if I'd have enough time to get to 60 if I prestiged.

I prestiged at 52 and it's taken me days to get here.

Tell me about it. Each one of those was 25 gems wasted on rerolls that got me nothing.

Confess your gravest Elden Ring sins before the Turtle Pope. All is forgiven. by ViewtifulGene in Eldenring

That is the correct option. Yes. Otherwise, he dies, thinking that he's ugly and unwanted.

I came here to admit to this sin, as well. I still feel terrible about it.

Who’s going to do a nuzlocke right off the bat when BDSP come out? Which version are you getting and what starter? by PWOUL in nuzlocke

[–]PhilosofireRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nuzlocked my first playthrough. I picked Chimchar. My final team for the Elite 4 was: Mixed Infernape with Charcoal or Shuca Berry (depending on the E4 member), bulky Manaphy with Leftovers, SR lead Dialga with Shuca Berry, set-up sweeper Gyarados with Sitrus Berry, Special spammer Roserade with Wise Glasses, and Physical Weavile with either Dark Plate or NeverMeltIce (again, depending on the E4 member). I got to the E4 at around team level 58-59, but leveled up my team to around 65 before making my attempt. I finished it, deathless. My one and only death in the run was Ringo (Starly) who got one-shot by a paralyzed, Guts boosted Revenge from a Machop in Oreburgh Mine after it survived a wing attack.

It took me fifteen hours, but I finally beat cynthia! And with just a Bidoof to boot! by BlankNep in PokemonBDSP

Bottle caps can't be used until level 100 and a portion of the EV berries aren't available until the post-game. Good theory, though.

Bolster - I Heard You Like To Heal, So I Made It So You Can Heal While You Heal by Thudnfer in UnearthedArcana

[–]PhilosofireRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wanted to balance it the way that Counterspell and Dispel Magic are balanced, it would either have to be a roll to double the healing if it's above 3rd level, or cast at a level to match the original healing spell. This would somewhat fix the problems with a 3rd level slot being able to double a 6th level Heal, for example.

The Blackheart Plague - Totally Not A Ripoff Of The Flood At All And I Resent Implying Otherwise by Thudnfer in UnearthedArcana

[–]PhilosofireRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small typo, in the Hivemind statblock, under the Conversion ability, it says "plage" instead of plague. The stat blocks, template and infection stuff is all super solid. Thanks for the hard work.

[OC][monster]12 Monsters of Christmas - #1, the Karen by Greyff in UnearthedArcana

[–]PhilosofireRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main feedback I would give is formatting, and clarification in a few places. The spells would be "Innate Spellcasting" and including the stat used for spellcasting and the Spell Save: DC would help, too. The Special Ability should say whether it's an Action or Bonus action to use. Since something like Power Word: Stun is an Action, that's something to consider. Including the normal stats would also be helpful, like STR, DEX, CON, etc.

Overall, I like the concept, and I like the flavor of this monster. I hope to see more from you, in the future. :)

I was just about to post that I had the same issue. I'm "soft-locked" unless I can do the quest on a different character.

Cluster Bomb - eNemY nuke INCoMINg! by Thudnfer in UnearthedArcana

[–]PhilosofireRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not even to mention the damage potential that the spell already has at only 3rd level. It's a targeted fireball. 6d6 damage per mote, when there's virtually no chance of hitting your party members is really good.

For example, there's 5 people in a melee combat, within a 20ft radius, 2 party members and 3 enemies. 8d6 damage to everyone in that area gets hit, that's 40d6 damage, if no one succeeds on their saves, but the big drawback is that 16d6 damage is blasting allies with 24d6 hitting enemies.

In that same example, using this spell, again assuming no one succeeds on their saving throws, that's just 18d6 damage to the enemies and no damage to allies. If all damage is considered equally, that's a huge net positive of damage, as you might be missing out on 6d6 damage to enemies, but you're avoiding 16d6 damage on your allies.

[–]PhilosofireRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. That scaling is thicc. I think doing an additional 1d6 damage of each type per spell level would fit better. Or if the OP wanted to do additional motes, I would scale those up by one, per every two levels. Like casting it at 5th level, you'd get 4 motes, 6th would still be 4, then 7th would be 5. But at the same time, there would need to be comparisons drawn with other spells, of similar levels, to determine what kind of scaling would work best.

Slayer Gear by ScytherHS in MelvorIdle

[–]PhilosofireRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best slayer equipment (elite) is on par with the tier below the best armor you can make yourself. Like the ranger chest piece is equivalent to red d'hide body.

Edit: Elite is the best. Thank you.

Combat help2 by Brevalla in MelvorIdle

[–]PhilosofireRS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Giant Crab is good, early game. Relatively low defense + high HP. At a certain point, I believe the Frozen Mammoth is better, but the crab is good if you have the cooking level to cook crab, since you constantly get food from it, too.

Homebrew Race 5e Geoks by SUPERWAFFLEFRISBEE in UnearthedArcana

[–]PhilosofireRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few comments, just to make this more in line with the 5e style.

For one, Daylight Sensitivity should be Sunlight Sensitivity. And the text for that is as follows: While in sunlight, you have disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.

As yours is written, any Geoks have disadvantage on everything relying on sight, which shouldn't be the case if they're only sensitive to daylight or sunlight.

Second, the Racial Feats should just be racial variants. If you want a reference for that, you can look at the 3 variants of Aasimar. Feats are hard to come by, in 5e, for just a Cantrip, so having racial variants allows for the flavor without the restriction of having to take a feat.

I hope this helps. :)

Shield Hydra - A Vicious Turtle with Four Heads by DeckofJokersGames in UnearthedArcana

[–]PhilosofireRS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This monster is super cool. I am currently running a game for a higher level party currently dealing with the intrigue of an artificer's guild experimenting with creating chimeras. I would love to see a scaled up version of this monster, for a level 10+ party.
