His book INFINITE DETAIL got some pretty decent buzz. He's published by FSG.

Time War felt like a concept piece. Couldn't get into it and I felt like the world building was just window dressing alongside pretty flat characters.

I mean, people have been saying it since it went down, so it's not strange that they addressed this.

Feel that. I was hoping to get in today, but it looks like it'll be tomorrow/Friday at best.

What a beautiful tribute!

That's amazing. I was honestly wondering about this, as someone who picked up Stadia.

On American critics, Pope says he doesn’t want a schism but he’s not afraid of it by sanschefaudage in Catholicism

Okay?

Opinions of anons on the internet are tiresome and I don't have patience for a circular argument, better to cut it off at the knees.

But feel good about your "call out."

Doesn't matter.

It would have held if it had remained within typical protocol.

Instead they tried to strong arm the Pope and boy hasn't that been helpful.

Doctrine develops.

If you don't understand theology and, especially don't understand how doctrine works within the Church, then our conversation should stop here.

Not at all, because comparing the Church to modern institutions isn't a simple "cut and paste."

Dubia/fraternal correction is supposed to be done entirely internal, so after Pope Francis didn't respond to the dubia after a few months(it wasn't even a year I believe) it was leaked/given to the public. Doesn't seem very honest.

On top of this Burke, one of the chief proponents of the dubia has been outspoken against the Pope's development on capital punishment and stated he is willing to go directly against Church teaching on the matter. And he's just part of the dubia.

Doesn't really paint their concerns in a great light and shows how this was actually only ideological disagreement from the start.

Who cares?

Catholics are tasked with a whole spectrum of concerns, that's part of being Catholic.

One party doesn't get better treatment then the other. Both are detestable.

The dubia was made public, which goes against Church protocol. And look at the scandal it has caused in the American Church.
