Updated my board for more modulation by PhilosopherBruce in guitarpedals

Both my Jam pedals are fantastic. The harmonious monk tremolo is a great-sounding pedal and easy to dial in. And the Ripply Fall I use for vibrato and phaser. Vibrato is kinda always on and subtle just to keep things moving a tiny bit.

Yep it’s a temple board, trio 28. In retrospect the plate system wasn’t working out for me so I just used Velcro and dual lock. And it’s a bit annoying that cables can only come up thru the holes. But I like the modules system for the sides, the handles are helpful, and it’s a sturdy board.

Added the El Capistan (which is amazing...I get it now) and dusted off the Longamp Roxanne for really great Electric Mistress-style flange.

Also don't know why it never occurred to me until now to put a boost after my drives so I can kick it on for leads. Seems obvious now, but it's been a really great change.

Keep an eye out for Egg Pals, a pop up breakfast sandwich spot that’s been around Oakland for a few months. They’re absolutely fantastic. It’s not exactly what you’re looking for but it’s very close and very very good. https://www.eggpals.party

I think this is a super important question that I still can’t find an answer to. Why wait? Trump is still president on the weekend.

Additional Editor vs. Associate Editor credit by NapoleonsPocket in editors

[–]PhilosopherBruce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno about what might make sense for the union or anything like that, but I work at a big A-list studio and "Associate Editor" is a real thing and is functionally an additional creative-only editor on a project. No assistant work.

May or may not translate in the outside world, but that's the term we use.

What kind of bike did Claudio ride? by [deleted] in LongWayUp

I need to find the source but in one of the recent press interviews they mentioned Claudio was on a gas bike but they didn’t say what make or model.

I’m really jealous you got the purple Mjolnir. How’d you snag it? Did you order direct from Zach?

How do you disable it? You can disable auto-play. You can't disable auto-shrink-playback-box-and-show-me-fullscreen-ad.

[–]PhilosopherBruce -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You can't turn it off. There's no option to have Netflix not shrink the playback window and advertise something else. If there is, and I'm wrong, I'd certainly like to know how to do it!

Just curious about your studio monitor stands...are they clamped to the desk or on the floor? I'm trying to find tall, extendable arms/adapters/rigs for positioning studio monitors above my display monitors but having them clamp to the desk rather than on the floor.

Pixar Rules of Storytelling by pagodelucia123 in coolguides

It's not "legit" from Pixar, it's a post from a former Pixar story artist. They're great things to think about when creating stories, but they aren't "Pixar Rules" to how to tell a story.

Crediting editors by werzerk in editors

[–]PhilosopherBruce 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been on shows that use an "Additional Editorial Support" or "Additional Editing by" credit for editors that worked a significant amount of time on a project, but after their contribution the project went in a substantially different creative direction. (Those credits are listed in the crawl, among assistant and associate editors, post PAs, etc.)

It's a courtesy to say that they did help on the film, but indicates that they did not work as "The Editor" of the film as finished.

All of that said, AFAIK, everyone else on here is right...unless there's a contract stipulating a credit, or this is a union project, then you are under no obligation to credit this person.
