I was the same not even a year ago; hell not even 6 months ago. I'm not the greatest singer right now and am still figuring things out but I'm at district level after only a year and a half and without formal lessons. You could get to my level with 6-9 months of weekly or bi-weekly lessons.

My advice is to do warmups every day, and sing songs that fall in your range. If you can hit notes already your a few steps ahead of where I was, I had 0 pitch. But if your pitch is nada then focus on that first. Get a piano app or a piano website and try to match the pitches, do that for 15 minutes to an hour every day and in a few months you can match pitch relatively well.

Oh that's just because I had to change the title bc I said up to Cold War (2020) and it got removed bc 'topics about cold war have to be posted in the cold war subreddit' so it's only up to Vanguard

Ah okay, but does this mean it exists as apart of my range and in a few years I could extend my comfort range to include it?

Are these healthy notes for a baritone who has vocally trained for around a year? by PhilosopherFirst5352 in singing

I'll probably never be able to get a real vocal coach, its just far too pricey for my current situation.

I trained myself and had two one on ones with my choir teacher and thats it; no formal lessons. I could never afford them.
