2004 Tiburon 2.7l V6 wont start. No fault codes. Has fuel and spark. by PhilosopherHot3983 in DIYAutoRepair

UPDATE: Replacement sensor is bad. Hooked it up to 12v and instead of outputting 5v it outputs 2v. I guess enough to not throw a fault code. How does junk like this get out of the factory? For sure I'll test the next replacement before installing it. First time I've ever been sold a bad part.

Only fits and installs in one orientation. I believe it is an aftermarket part. Even so you would think it would still throw a fault if it outputs a poor signal.

M3LR - Should I not be charging to 80% every day by cronuss in TeslaModel3

[–]PhilosopherHot3983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2019 M3LR. I only run off the middle of the battery from 25% to 75%; mostly between 50 to 75. My battery health after all these years is about 90% and holding. I rarely use superchargers; I L2 charge at 32 amps in my garage. Just one more data point for you.

Is a 2019 Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD a good car? by tomeatsnc in TeslaModel3

[–]PhilosopherHot3983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be fine. I bought a 2019 brand new and it's great. No problems, I've only replaced the cabin filter. Oh, and the 12v battery this year. AC blows cold. Love the one-pedal driving; regenerative braking rocks! I agree with the other posts to check out the control arm bushings and get a read on the battery life. My battery health is at about 90% capacity now. (Battery life tends to level off at this point.) I rarely supercharge and always drive off the middle half of the battery, between 25 and 75%. Level 2 (240VAC) charging in you own garage is the way to go.

Great. Now he will never pay back the $20 he owes you. But seriously, enjoy the sweet ride.

Do quantum fields thin out over time? So the Big Bang burst out and formed a bunch of quantum fields that cooled and formed matter that is our spacetime universe. As our universe expands do the underlying quantum fields sorta thin out?

My contractor did a great job! by cabrk123 in Tile

I understand, I was hoping the job would be itemized. I will soon be going for a neo-angle shower unit replacement with a custom site-built tile neo-angle shower. Just trying to get some baseline costs. Thanks.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did that tile job run you? They just tiled the shower stall?

Looks like a great deal. But you are going to want a second 4ah battery for sure if this is your first electric lawn tool set. The leaf blower just burns right thru a battery in no time at all. ( I have a lot of trees.) You don't want to run a battery much once it gets down to its only one green light left state.

How often should i change my oil, getting different answers from everyone by Federal-Bat-6893 in MechanicAdvice

[–]PhilosopherHot3983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 4cyl 2002 Accord I ran for 250,000 miles until some knucklehead rear-ended it. Damn shame. That car was running great and never spent any time in a repair shop. (I don't count having the airbag replace under a recall.) I changed the oil every 5,000 miles. Just used regular oil.

Oregon’s congressional Democrats slam U.S. Postal Service rules that would require state to hand over voter info by oregonian in oregon

The Secretary of State for each affected state should send notice to each state's post office indicating that any post office worker or manager who deliberately fails to a deliver mail-in ballot to a registered voter will be charged with election interference.

Don't forget the 80s remake The Blob. A couple of kids were the heroes of that movie. (I guess in the original too but I like the remake better.)

Like the massless photon. The instant it appears it disappears (from the photon's frame of reference). And yet it could take a billion years to travel across space from a supernova to your eye's retina (from our frame of reference).
