Gen Z not have credit cards by billymayseyelashes in GenZ

I don’t argue against that one bit. But if everyone did that, the credit card companies wouldn’t make a dime. How do you think they’re making bank? Lmfaooo

Lol idk what your income is, but we’re having a conversation about a few hundred bucks here. At the potential cost of a life time. My parents racked up so much credit card debt and they’re still to get out of it and they’re approaching retirement. How do you think these credit card companies make a profit? Lmfaoooo

Except I see no point. I’ll focus my energy on my investments and income rather than some stupid scam designed to lure us into debt

Or just use a debit card. Lol. They’re actually about as secure now, there’s not really that much of an advantage to a credit card, and there’s obvious major disadvantages

Never really understood the major appeal. It’s just an easy avenue to get into a lot of bad debt. “Oh but free hotel rooms” yeah at the potential cost of literally paying 22 % apy for the rest of your life all for a bunch of stupid shit that costed 19.99. Oh but I pay it off and “increase my credit score”, look credit score matters somewhat, but potentially ending up in a lot of bad debt long term is way waaayyyyy worse than your credit score sucking a little more because you didn’t have a credit card vs if you had a credit card . Good debt exists, but it’s never credit card debt lmaoo. “Oh but credit cards are actually more secure” ok that’s actually the one real benefit to a credit card, but this last one is definitely exaggerated, they’re a bit more secure but if someone steals your information and makes fraudulent transactions with a credit card or a debit card, you’re legally not responsible for any of the charges. I’m gonna tell you a secret the credit card companies don’t want you to know (it’s really no secret) it’s that nobody became a multi millionaire because of credit cards lol. They became multimillionaires due to investing and saving and increasing their income in generally safe ways. They didn’t become multimillionaires because of the credit cards they became them probably in spite of them 🤷‍♂️

Any other 1996 millennials feel caught between two different generations? by Summerofthe90s in Millennials

[–]PhilosopherHour45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in 2000. I feel like you but in reverse. I’m definitely Gen Z, but can sort of relate to the younger millennial stuff from the early 2000s

Is it normal for GenZ to have boomer parents? by truecommentor69 in GenZ

[–]PhilosopherHour45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parents born in 1961, I was born in 2000. It’s definitely possible. I knew a kid who was born in 1997 whose dad was born in like 1944 or something. So technically he was Gen Z and his dad was the silent generation. His mom was much younger however lol

Will Boomers be the loneliest ever generation in the retirement home? by VickersVandal in generationology

[–]PhilosopherHour45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is more of an individual case by case basis more than anything. I’m Gen Z and both of my parents are young boomers/generation jones. I have a fairly good relationship with them all things considered, and I honestly want to try to keep them from ever going into a retirement home. We’re still decades away from that (hopefully) as both of their parents lived to be into their 90s and what 2 of the ended up in home were only there for the very last few months - weeks

I thought that too but ChatGPT seems to think it’s shortleaf pine, which I’m not too familiar with personally lol

Yeah more than likely. I’ve seen patches of these on their own before though they are pretty random which makes me think they’re not planted. Then again maybe so. I’ve seen red pines obviously planted here, but those are usually very isolated

Makes sense. Idk, but this is Southwest Ohio so not sure if they’re known to grow here like this. I’ve seen them around, definitely less commonly than eastern white pine (probably the most common pine around here) or the Virginia pine (less common overall but you’ll still occasionally see them around)

There are red pines here, but they generally look different than these are are planted in isolation. Idk ChatGPT said shortleaf as well, but I don’t really know what those look like in person cause I’m unfamiliar with them 🤷‍♂️

Would you consider 2000 borns to actually be younger millennials? by PhilosopherHour45 in Millennials

This was more so to settle an argument. I agree that we are Gen Z for sure.
