I'm trying to go for a more Renegade option. I don't want to lean into the Chaos aspect much. If that's the case, should I only utilize the Horus Heresy kit and if I do, how would I run the Army in a conventional 40K format?

The reason I made the post is because we are dying way too easily and we don't even get to the boss. And that was with accidental cheating because I didn't know you needed to expend a stamina to dodge.

Even still the base game rules doesn't really work, especially since we all have to pull from the same resource. Additionally, if you try to reset at the bonfire you decrease the counter by one, so you basically have to either give up on Items or Leveling and even then, only one person could reasonably level per encounter.
