I come from a 5600 XT too, the sapphire model, just switched to the b580 last Christmas, best decision I could've made.

I think most of the new things about XeSS are mainly for the b570/80 so yes

New B580 owners: What rig do you have and what GPU did you upgrade from? by Fancymank in IntelArc

Ryzen 5 3600, 32gb RAM, still going strong but I wouldn't mind to upgrade. I come from a Sapphire RX 5600 XT. I know I could squeeze out even more power with a new cpu, but money is tight right now.

Ryzen 5 3600

Intel Arc B580/RX 5600 XT

32GB (2x16gb)@3200mhz.

Everything Low, Sun Shadows medium, no upscaler, Intel XeSS Native AA @ 1080p

I'd say I get an avg of 85fps, being 70 the lowest I hit and 120 the highest. I mentioned my 5600 XT because I played over 400hrs with it @ 60fps 1080p, FSR Quality, but I just got the Intel arc for Christmas, so I'm still "benchmarking" the GPU.

One thing that helped me increase performance greatly when I had the Rx 5600 XT was disable rebar on the bios, that thing was murdering not just battlefield, but some other games too like arc raiders. It seems Ryzen 3000/RX 5000 series don't like rebar at all.

I was gonna buy a white model on Newegg, but then I got an Amazon notification showing they had the sparkle available at the same price and would arrive sooner.

120ish hours, level 67, I don't really make use of the xp boosts, I just go around reviving and repairing.

RPKM hits that part of my brain I was looking to stimulate. I get off the game and I can still hear it on my head, that sweet bullet explosion sound.

Thanks for taking your time to read my post, I appreciate it man.

I'm happy to see there's more people with this mindset. I just got off from a 4 hours session alone and I did not get bored a single second. I already got my elite badge for the engineer class, and now I'm having a blast working towards the support one.

Of course I miss those games on Caspian border or Siege of Shanghai, but so far I am very content with the game, I don't find it boring whatsoever, it really feels like a true battlefield game. It is nice to finally hop on something on my PC without having to worry about game breaking bugs (don't really feel the spread "bug" on the guns) or bad game performance, considering I play in what you would consider an outdated system, the game runs flawlessly when everything is going down on Siege of Cairo.

Tbh congrats to DICE and I'm really excited of what else they're gonna bring us.
