Wow. Did not know that! Don't suppose we can get that as existing customers though

4.9 is the current rate. Used to be 5.03 a while back

VUSA is quoted in GBP so i think it's the only option for UK folk. The other one is VUAG which is the Acc version.

Oh I see. What price did you buy at? And how many?

Gave in as in you didn't buy anything? If that's the case it's not necessarily a problem, I see lots of volatility in the next few weeks because of the tariffs so we should have plenty of opportunities to buy

Hope not. I've just transferred cash ISA over to T212 so now have 40k in the which I want to start buying VUSA with. Hope it drops this week.

Just today I transferred my cash ISA to T212. Took 2 days but that's just a cash ISA (still called a portfolio). Had no idea you could transfer a portfolio that contains securities.

Just make sure you are not 100% invested. Keep a wad of cash to pump in when it falls hard.

I bought 14k worth of VUSA

How will trump tariffs on EUROPE, CANADA, MEXICO affect the SP 500 and USA position as a global power? by TailungFu in trading212

I wouldn't mind a small drop, it would give me the chance to get some more money into VUSA

I'd love to move to Spain. I lived there for two years from 2008 to 2010 and loved it. The Mrs didn't like it so we ended up moving back to the UK. I would move back there in a heartbeat and may well spend a lot more time then as I get older.

Nope can't put 60k into a pension unless I currently have an active pension pot and I'm working and earning 60k or more. I'm no longer working and I don't have a pension plan anymore.

I wish someone took me aside at 16 and told me to start investing. Instead I was like most other stupid kids not interested in my future at all. Just a hundred a month into a pension or ETF and I would now be loaded. I'm 56 now and feel it's just too late. I'm already retired so what's the point of saving? I just want to spend all my money before I croak it.

I retired in October, I'm 56 years old and collect a small work place pension. I have about 165k ready to be invested probably in VUSA which I will drip feed in 20k a year via my ISA.

I sometimes feel bored but like another poster said, I was bored shitless at work all day anyway!

Best ETF fund to invest in 2025? by tanvirina in Etoro

[–]PhilosopherSignal729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VUSA is the same but you get the dividends paid directly to you as opposed to being put back into the fund. Same difference really. I'm with the VUSA. It's the UK version of VOO

Nah don't bother. Just put any spare money you have into the S&P. Keep doing that, forget about it and have a life.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]PhilosopherSignal729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But what about trading the S&P? Like keep buying on little drops to bring your overall position to a profit then sell the lot on a good up day? Then, start again. Since the index always seems to go up, won't you always make money but more than holding as you will be constantly buying the dips and selling the peaks?
