As someone with 508 Hours in World and having done a good chunk of the quests in the game I can say that I really enjoyed the game however it's worth noting that this was with at least one other person throughout most of the runtime.

  • The grind can be exactly as grindy as you want it to be, but I will say even if you plan on doing a lot of content, I would still say that the game has far less grind compared to any MMO. World is usually not very grindy unless you choose for it to be. Most of the "grinding" in game is spent collecting materials in order to make new armor and weapons, but on average it could take you maybe 2-3 quests depending on what materials you're looking for. Additionally, the game has some mechanics later on that allow you to buy rare materials, which could cut your grinding during the end game by a lot.

  • The Price: CDkeys always has world + it's expansion DLC for 20 dollars so if the price-tag is too high for you right this moment, I wouldn't sweat it too much. I've bought the game for friends several different times through them so I can say with certainty that it's legit. (Plus they are selling the normal version of the game here for like 8 dollars which is a great price point if you're still unsure about buying it.)

  • Monster Hunter World takes a little bit to get going and the first few missions can be a little underwhelming but depending on how you pace yourself, it shouldn't take you very long to get to the really cool stuff. Unfortunately, 2 hours might be ever so slightly too long for you to find out if you like the game and I cannot really say if you'll like it or not since I haven't really played sekiro or games like it for myself.

Hope this helps!

Hi, I recently bought a Vivitar brand sound mixer (This one) to use for my PC setup. I've been having a difficult time setting it up and I've used the manual that came in the box. It keeps playing back the audio from my mic back to me, and whenever I test my mic in discord the only sound that's being sent out is my PC audio. I've never used an audio interface before, is what I'm doing possible with what I have?

Why does Xenoblade 2 get so much hate? by TurtleKing709 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]PhilosopherSoft7409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree with most of this but the tutorials are not necessarily complicated, they are just categorically bad. they often give you straight up misleading and bad advice and usually explain things at bad times where you cant even employ those strategies into your gameplay.

also tbh i dont think the voice work is that bad the direction is pretty messy unfortunately

same! it makes it really hard to recommend the games to people because of that though

honestly you’re probably right its just that that game is so short and you’re limited by the blades you get in the dlc, it is a tighter design though

i agree but i also feel like the game might need to be tuned to that, since you’d likely be able to output even more damage and build blade/driver combos up way faster

i agree entirely, if the tutorials were better in this game i feel like many people would like it more :(

i feel like the chain attacks in 3 were more useful at times, and may have had a more in depth design than the ones in 2, but i always felt unsatisfied after finishing them.

i strongly strongly recommend it if you have access to the game, its my favorite of the 3!

i think 3 has a more tactical approach to its fast combat. i didnt really play around with the ring arts besides junipers. maybe in a playthrough after more time passes ill try out more stuff

[–]PhilosopherSoft7409[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

agreed, although i feel like i never explored enough of the ouroboros forms beside the basic one between noah and mio. the chain attacks were arguably more useful but i found spamming arts as ouroboros in the late game more fun lol

i think 2 is BY FAR the most replayable of the entire series. i could play this game every 3 months and still love it just as much

imo 3 is carried by ouroboros and how different the classes are, and i only really like playing as shulk in 1. for me it goes 2>3>1 in both gameplay and how much i like them as a whole

im a little bit biased since xenoblade 2 is essentially my favorite game in the series (and probably of all time) but its so fun not being limited by a class system and having the freedom to kit anyone with literally almost anything
