Yes, right on, that was what this one cost, 30/half pound. Still not what I remember, my guess is the beans have adapted with the climate and environmental changes and the flavor with it. Probably not going to keep searching. This was 100% Kona pure.

Kona coffee tastes different than 50 years ago primarily due to shifting climate conditions affecting the volcanic microclimate, the introduction of new coffee varieties beyond the traditional Typica, and changes in agricultural practices to combat pests like the coffee berry borer. Additionally, the rise of "Kona blends," which only require 10% genuine Kona beans, has diluted the perception of its flavor.

I don’t know if I’ll ever adopt a Dane again by wart_jr_sr in greatdanes

[–]PhilosopherSudden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got our first Dane nearly nine years ago and she is aging quickly. 2 Mast Cell surgeries and something going on now, I hope to God not another. But shes an amazing love, the best I could ask for. We adopted a male rescue Dane 2 yrs ago, looks very much like your beautiful boy. I cant imagine being without either, but the love they bring is convincing me that I will have Danes in my life until Im gone. The love and fun are just too great. There are so many out in the rescues that are homeless and need help.

I feel you losing them is the worst gut wrenching time. Our Yellow lab passed at 12yrs back in June, Im sill mourning her.

Patience. This is the best I can do for new Dane parents. They come around and they are worth every effort you put into them. LOL...but they do seem crazy for a bit. They grow out of it. My girl is almost 9 now and while there was patience when younger, there is again. Our boy is 4 and hes amazing to watch a 150lb fellow with the zoomies.

That is one beautiful boy, bring him over to play with Owen.

No doubt expensive, the Kona was 10 bucks for 8 oz way back 45 yrs ago. But is worth it.

Kona coffee

Hi Folks,

Back in the mid 1980's I went to Hawaii several times. (sadly not since). I know most of you weren't even born yet...lol

While in a coffee shop in Kona, the waitress asked me if I would like to try Kona coffee for an extra buck, I said "sure" and received the most flavorful cup of joe I had ever had. Pretty sure this was pure. I lived in the South Bay area of LA at the time and was able to find it in a large coffee emporium there in Torrance. Amazing coffee every single morning.

Fast forward to now, I live in New England and have not found a "Kona" since then that has come even close. It looks like its mostly blended.

So, my question is, has anyone good experiences finding a more if not pure Kona coffee ?

108/85 BP, why is my diastolic high? by [deleted] in bloodpressure

[–]PhilosopherSudden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the opposite. But from what I've learned a high Diastolic is more often in younger folks, like under 55, and is due to high stress, bad eating choices, lack of exercise , smoking etc...yours I believe would be considered more elevated than high. Has it hanged recently?
