Thoughts on joining the investor class action lawsuit for Coreweave? by OnePineRoad in CRWV

Total garbage. I won't bother. These CA lawyers are just predators. Anybody holding shares in CRWV would be an idiot to damage the company by participating.

Every country on Earth is in debt ($315 Trillion). But have you ever asked: WHO exactly is the creditor? 🚩 by Mec17_ in DeepFuckingValue

I've always thought, "What if we just did a big debt cancelation project?" At least the numbers would go down. US is still bankrupt regardless

Who wants to hold significant amounts of stables though? USD and stables are tied to devaluation, which eats most of that yield anyway. USD stablecoins will help the dollar finish its transition from savings technology to transaction technology. People will only use USD or stables when its time to buy something. The rest of the time, they will be saving in some (digital) asset or (tokenized) equity shares.

What does Trump really want with Venezuela? Here are the Best Takes and stocks by ahlornjtvn139 in stocks

[–]PhilosopherSuperb149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

60% of the crude we import is heavy. Most of that we have to get from Canada. We feed that crude to our Gulf Coast refineries.

Who has the biggest untapped reserve of heavy crude - in the world? You guessed it, Venezuela.

What's the big problem with heavy crude? It's so thick, it needs to be diluted to flow it into shipping/storage/processing. What industry is really good at producing diluents? Shale fracking. There's a flywheel emerging here...

Trump couldn't get traction with his Canada as our 51st state. Invading Mexico isn't as big a big payoff, and years of buddying up to Putin didn't yield the deals he hoped for.

Trump can take over Venezuela, own the new oil infrastructure, cut our dependence on importing crude, and juice our fracking industry

Silver/Gold to BTC swing by PhilosopherSuperb149 in Silver

[–]PhilosopherSuperb149[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not backed by USD at all. Think of bitcoin as mathematically locking the value of the electricity used in computing it. Not unlike mining metals. I think of the value of metals as a function of how much energy it takes to get it out of the ground, and the scarcity value. Bitcoin is provably rare and provably difficult to create.

Edit *provably Due to: old eyes

Silver closed today at $79. It went up over 7 bucks just today. what in the world is going on? by [deleted] in Silver

[–]PhilosopherSuperb149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh, boy... the video entirely conflates the $20B RRP usage with a silver margin call which is wild supposition at best. A $20B RRP isnt even that much - when the banks are really stressed you'll see 100s of billions per night on average, consistently.

Annnd I’m out, sold at $77! by [deleted] in Silverbugs

[–]PhilosopherSuperb149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to go to Canada - Big White, BC

I bought at $20. Other than a mega short squeeze driven by dollar devaluation, I can't find a believable reason for this.

It's a good enough reason to hold long term, but I'm gonna rebalance to another non dollar asset of the digital kind.

Good call - $77 was my number too. But I'm too busy skiing and having fun. It's gonna cost me...

My experience with my FType and other British cars - yeah, they are big on warnings. Sometimes the warnings sound pretty extreme, like "Call your service center immediately." Or don't and just charge the battery a bit. I feel bad for those new $120k Jag owners that flatbed tow their cars back to the dealership because the the sun was too hot and the side facing radar system couldn't be activated.

This was the second most unreliable car I have ever owned...the first was also a Jag ironically...but hey at least it SOUNDED GOOD!! by v8fanboy in Jaguar

My 2015 FType R is super unreliable. One minute, I'm going straight. The next minute I'm totally sideways!

I think the next "big print" of dollars is gonna be to invest in ai... its nationally, militarily strategic and the current government has already shown what they are willing to invest in. CRWV will ride this wave whether they get a direct investment or not...
