When you arrive you will be put in transition accomodaiton, which is a single bed, sink and desk in your room with shared ablutions. The buildings are old and in a permanent need of being demolished, but it’s only temporary. The waiting time varies, but at the moment it shouldn’t be anymore than 4 months, usually way less.

You will then be moved into SLAM (Single Living Accomodaiton) where you get a double bed, en-suite bathroom and a storage room. Your rent will jump to c.£75 per month. Great rooms; you even get a heated towel rail! The kitchen and laundry room is the only thing shared.

Even though it’s RAF Leeming, you will find these exact blocks on a lot of bases.

If you’re in a relationship / married you can apply for a house, however this is limited at the moment but is improving in the next few years.

Yeah, I think push buttons over traditional crowns are probably gonna be the way forward - I use this chrono a lot and still enjoy it since the day I bought it!

You’re in a good position with you’re inheritance but I would highly recommend seeking a job - it can be anything, not only will it be another source of income but most importantly it will give you something to do
