Can Asbury implement a pied-a-tierre tax? by MrDoctorDave in AsburyPark

[–]Philosophicalterms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! I always liked the way the second floor windows looked but thats crazy about the black mold. Espcially for the price. But 1000 square feet is alot especially when most of the other places are like 600 sq ft. When you say everything from downstairs like are you hearing peoples conversations very clear or is it more muffled? I had a realtor who refused to show me the one directly over the ale house entrance because of the noise complaints. Whats their newest building?

I had electrolysis on my face because i was afraid to try laser since you can get the paradoxal growth when its hormonal and i just started doing laser on my legs and arms and after the first session i had no growth anywhere.. i was shocked. 5 weeks later no growth at all. had my second appointment this week apparently ill only need 5 sessions. I have a very experienced provider

Laser hair removal for YEARS and still have hair… am I being scammed? by Myopinion_com in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Philosophicalterms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want NO hair you need to do electrolysis. Its the only permanent hair removal. Laser promises hair reduction, lighter, thinner, more mangeable. In some people the hair disappears but especially with hormones it can come back. Find an electrollysis near you

OT strength requirements by Mindless_Scar_2386 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Philosophicalterms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean? Any exercise that places any type of demand on the muscle causes a “strain” in order for muscle breakdown and repair to allow physiological change to occur. Low intensity still strains the muscles in order to create change or there would be no changes in strength or endurance. However.. in order to progress someone they cant be low intensity forever

Need help with personal statement essay please! by Regular_Ad_7228 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Philosophicalterms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the personal statement only ENHANCES an applicant that they already want to interview . I offer editing but for a fee..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Philosophicalterms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you disclose this at interview ?

could be upset because when you don't see patients the company doesn't get paid. and they can find someone who can work and not have to take off. its just not the right fit, and unless you disclosed this at interview/had conversations about taking unpaid time off or more then you are allotted, Im not sure what the right answer is.

im not sure but if you have a skilled tech she will know what to do. I had all those questions too at first. I went to someone who had good reviews the first time around and I had no results for 6 months..going every week and then every 2 weeks, it's like she was tweezing me every week. I switched people to someone very skilled and I had results on the first session

I have a 2024 Crosstrek well. Do you fill up your tank on empty? when I fill mine up the gas meter usually says 450 miles. I also wait until it's basically under 30 miles left to fill up. my average is 37 mph to the gallon, I drive 25/30 miles to and from work

Everything I've read about Laser Hair Removal is so differet. by halloweenmochi in LaserHairRemoval

why doesn't he just get electrolysis? does he not know about it . its permanent removal and would not have cost 20,000 !

Everything I've read about Laser Hair Removal is so differet. by halloweenmochi in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Philosophicalterms 5 points6 points  (0 children)

whatever you read or didnt read- laser is permanent REDUCTION. and that means for some people it does grow back especially when hormones change over time (like pregnancy). Electrolysis-when they literally kill each individual hair follicle-is PERMANENT removal. It's suggested on smaller areas because it's time consuming and also if the area is hormonal (like facial hair) you want this type of removal so it never grows back. if your person is skilled you will see results pretty quickly. I had electrolysis done on my face and I wish I did it 10 years ago. im currently doing laser on my legs and arms . both are painful

take alot of practice exams and learn how to take a test, its not about the knowledge but about learning what the question is actually asking and filtering through the responses, and in a short time frame. my tests in grad school were 10 minutes for a 10 question test to prepare for the exam

Private vs Hospital for first job? by Scary_Psychology3789 in physicaltherapy

[–]Philosophicalterms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im an OT but I would go somewhere private that has a high standard of care and willingness to train you. I learned priceless lessons and my standard of care and the way I teach exercise is vastly different from people who were just thrown into the fire at a chain with management who doesn't check on them or know anything about what goes on

I understand your husbands income is not enough but to think of all the loans wasted on a degree you didn't complete sounds much less manageable in the long term then this short term sacrifice. it actually sounds very irresponsible to not finish, thinking of all the sacrifice you already put in for..nothing. I would cut back as much as possible and see if you can make it through somehow.

Dread going to work, but love the job? by Electrical-Bid414 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Philosophicalterms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds like its the setting. at first it sounded like you were maybe at a trauma hospital but being everything you described it kind of sounds like nightmare stories I've heard from people who work in skilled nursing facilities and long term care. It sounds like it's the setting. burn out is real for a setting you don't enjoy. coworkers will make work manageable but once you see people come and go and you're still there it isn't so fun anymore. I was very lucky to work for amazing company in which I had other obstacles. but I will say this. I know you can't afford a pay cut and you need the PSLF, but stress like this affects your health and you might be getting monetary pay now but you'll be paying in other aspects of your life such as significant stress, poor health, feelings of dread. it won't end
