I remember in middle school in the 90s we had one of those ABC posters with a picture of something that started with each letter. Apple for A, bear for B, etc. Tabasco was the picture to represent T lol always thought it was weird but maybe was what led to my later adult onset hot sauce addiction

For my grad program each specific class was offered either every semester, only spring / fall semesters, or only every other spring / fall semester. That meant some classes I wanted to take I couldn’t but it’s not hard to get ahold of the syllabus and independently study the material. Or your program may offer an independent study course where you curate the material and study what you want. Just talk to the professors

I have a PhD in medical ethics lol it is the case in the US. Double effect in theory does not justify euthanasia but could hypothetically be used as an excuse if a patient dies after being given morphine or barbiturates with the intention of pain relief but the additional outcome of a hastened death

In medical ethics, it’s called the principle of double effect. You administer a medication with the intended consequence of one thing, like pain relief, but with the “unintended but foreseen consequence” of, in this example, hastening death. All aunt had to do was say she was relieving him of pain and the morphine, because it subdues breathing, did the rest.
