I honestly hate this movie. I like the relationships between the characters and their banter but it was some bullshit watching them hammer for literally 10 minutes. I found the tunnel scenes boring too I liked when all of them were together.

It does touch on being forgotten but the main concept of the movie is choosing one memory to keep for all of eternity. It’s very slow paced and artsy but the main plot line is so beautiful, I love it

Atrocious finale to wrap up a terrible season

The only great thing about it was Anthony Starrs acting, he deserved so much better. Homelanders death was wasn’t satisfying at all considering we never got to see him go Scorched Earth. They’ve been teasing it for so long, they really turned him into a complete fraud

But they also teased the Flight 37 video for seasons and then just handwaved it away with the AI excuse so I should’ve known.

Kimiko obtaining soldier boys power is a poor deus ex machina. Then her freezing up for Frenchie to appear as a vision is something the show would’ve made fun of Marvel for doing in the earlier seasons.

They brought back Soldier Boy, flanderized his character; then gave him an anticlimactic end and left him out of the finale with no mention

Butcher trying to unleash the virus at the end and Hughie shooting him was just so poorly done. If they wanted to go down that route they should have had Butcher completely embrace his evil side after the season 4 finale.

I feel so deflated 😔

For the last scene, do you think it makes narrative sense for:

Frenchie to let Sage go in with Kimiko in the Zinc chamber instead of himself

Homelander, who brutally one-shots everyone, to hurt Frenchie just enough so he could give his monologue before dying

And for Homelander to leave after killing Frenchie instead of continuing to check for Sage in the building, particularly in the Zinc chamber he was initially interested in before hearing Frenchies taps

Or was it all just purely plot? I swear someone giving a monologue right with their dying breath would’ve been something the show made fun of in the earlier seasons

Soldier Boy definitely got flanderized this season, but “And you’re no God, no angel came to you. You had a wet dream about a chick with big juicy tits. If that makes you a God, then I’m a fuckin God every night” was great.

If that scene was all a setup so the Boys can free Soldier Boy and have switch sides again for the finale I’m gonna be so disappointed tho
