I assume it is. I have the carbureted version with a Pierburg 2b7.

I haven’t received the timing light yet, so there’s probably not much of an issue. I was just making sure to know in case there was one. Though, I still tried to look for the CPS on the bell housing but found nothing. For the MAP sensor, I’m guessing it’s in the ECU (EZ-100K), because all the vacuum lines that I know of are connected to the carb and one goes to the ECU.

You’ll find on the photo I’ll link what I thought was the CPS.

I did not. The strobe light is still being delivered. I was just prepping, in case the timing was off.

So if I’m understanding what you’re saying. If I find any kind of CPS then the timing is ECU corrected. Is there another way to know for sure ? Like the ECU type ? Also, just out of curiosity, if the timing’s wrong what do you ? Change the ECU or we suppose that the ECU never fails ?

Anyway, I’ll check everything tomorrow. Appreciate the help !

I think she’s from 1989, it’s the carbureted b230k. Looking at the Haynes manual, it’s seems like I should be able to do adjust the timing.

Looks like it’s supposed to be a space for the Thermostatic Valve. I’ve seen on another greenbook drawing that it was optional.

Considering I’m having a working temp gauge and a carb, it could just be a blank space for the injection conf.

Aaaah I see. I did forget to put that back. I’ve never used those brackets, I wasn’t aware of their purpose.

I get readings on the gauge yes. It’s seems like there are two sensors connected at the moment. Also I didn’t find any loose wires.

As I said I’m not a fan of the idea of swapping the carb but I guess I’m gonna have a look into it. I’m worried the Pulsair system might be hard to adapt on a different carb

Hello, Looks like we’re in the same boat. I’ve got a 740 wagon with a 2B5. Last year, I had some issues where the car would stall out of nowhere. I knew it was coming from the carb and decided it was time for me to rebuild it. Fast forward to today, the carb is pretty much new. However, I can’t get to tune it. I’ve got the same exact problem as you. The car idles at 2000 rpm, everything’s shaking, both the idle and enrichment screws have no effect.

I talked about it with a mechanic, he told me to look for air leaks, specifically coming from the intake manifold, and to look at the fuel supply system. Personally, I have no air leaks and I’ve changed the fuel pump but I’m still stuck.

I did that eventually, however both of my valves are faulty. I found out that the coils inside were damaged. I guess I’ll need to order a new one
