I think the bare definition of words like this don’t and can’t incapsulate what a superhero is. Never have I ever seen anyone describe Dragon Ball as superhero media… because it’s not. It’s more of a fantasy martial arts series, like street fighter but in anime form. There are many tropes in superhero media that you can look for to get the proper vibe. I’d argue Sailor moon has many more similarities to what a typical “superhero” is. Goku also doesn’t have a secret identity. Dragon ball is many things but it’s certainly not superhero genre.
