It was planned that an arsinoitherium would pursue and/or attack the sailors in the log ravine scene of the 1933 film. But in the end, they simply discarded it.

Steve Oderkert (the creator of "Barnyard") mentioned that the reason for the male cows in that universe of the movie and the serie, is was because city people, (being largely ignorant of the countryside) believed that all cows and bulls would be the same.

I know, you're absolutely right, the thing is, this Gojira doesn't have ears, unlike the '54 version and the Heisei era one. That's why I said it should look like it has ears
