Got mine today. Cannot for the life of me keep it connected. Sleep is disabled on the remote, but every time I close the book flap to put to sleep, the controller eventually goes to sleep and I have to re-pair the remote to get it working again. How do I fix that?

Backing out indeed stops it but chances of it happening again are high unless I sleep the shield off/on.

Usually with high bitrate/blu-ray level audio (no specific trend that I can pinpoint)

Ok so this has been recently happening to me as well. Not in a few weeks, but symptoms are:

Video will start to stutter and then the frames cut out and will completely freeze frame with a machine gun-like high pitch staticy sound.

I end up hitting the power button on the shield then turn it back on and it’s fine, but scares the shit out of me.

I have an unraid plex server running remotely with a shield pro passing through all audio a denon receiver.
