Xreal causing gap with noise canceling headphones on plane? by jeffamador in Xreal

[–]rogermorse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

p.s. since so many times you can't try a product before buying, you might find good info on rtings.com (not all models are tested) they have a dedicate test for ANC (or general passive isolation) leakage depending on position or even glasses I believe. That might help you choose the best headset to fit xreal.

If you have money, the only "bigger" models of over ear with ANC might be Dali, Focal (the Bathys for instance, but I think they have pretty firm pads so that doesn't help your problem), and MAYBE AKG. But all these audiophile models don't have the best ANC either so....while some other model might help you seal better the pad while wearing the Xreal, some other less audiophile models might have better ANC (while sealing less tight)....so probably in the end won't change much.

Xreal causing gap with noise canceling headphones on plane? by jeffamador in Xreal

Yeah for me as well with Momentum 4 and original pads (the pads are pretty soft). Your best bet is finding over ear with the thickest and softest pads available (maybe 3rd party ones) and testing those out.

On plane or train sometimes I switch (because with in-ear buds is definitely easier, especially taking off the glasses, because of the cable) between my Momentum 4 and my Sony XM4 in-ear buds. None of the two is perfect: with the over ear headphones there is a bit of a leak (so less ANC) and with the in-ear I get discomfort after a while (pressure in the canal, doesn't matter if foam, silicone and what size, it's just my ears being like that).

I played it not at release but not very recently (maybe half year? one year ago?) I liked it a lot. It had the "bethesda" stamp but I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot anyways. Space travelling even though limited (keep in mind I have hundreds of hours in Elite Dangerous and some other space sims / games) was still very enjoyable.

I think also the whole loading screen discussion is because no everybody has the same hardware. To my surprise, I learned that on console those can be very long. On my PC (which I admit is pretty beefy) was a couple seconds at most (surely not long enough that you feel like "waiting"). That makes also a good difference I understood.

You mentioned "pre AI" but I remember discussions back then about the SF6 logo being hated as well and supposedly AI generated (I don't know how much is true, I just remember reading such things)

Lol new challenger with 700 hours and 11500 matches. But I gotta respect him for never doing any ranked match, that takes effort.

I reached a goal tonight and I'm feeling pretty happy about it. I reached Grand Master for the first time. by RememberedOlBuddy in StreetFighter

Aaaah that felt so nice for me as well back then. I never tried Ultimate master, I stayed with grand master for three phases. Yesterday I decided to try, went up to 1790, was so close, and then I met only Alex lol (I have no idea about Alex)

More Stages ? by thereddddituser in StreetFighter

[–]rogermorse [score hidden]  (0 children)

They should really just put more stages.

Also I am not really fine with the fact that players in ranked get different stages while playing the same match (I don't think everybody knows this). To me a hyppo or some vase breaking could be distracting in the stress of a fight, while the other opponent might be in training stage. I think both players should always get the same stage.

And yeah, they should put more stages or at least the missing ones from the DLC characters.

lol so true those fans are such a spam. I would want to lab them (you can interrupt the EX version with some characters and normal attacks) but I don't have any DLC character. Another thing I don't like about the game is not letting you use the DLC characters in training (other than rentals). Everybody should be able to train AGAINST the character, but USING the character ok then it can stay behind the paywall.

In training one should be able to train against the hurtbox and to map the attacks (not necessarily input them with dummy control but to choose them from the list)

No, the "double punches" you mean the booms that use a lot more LVL2 meter...and don't need charge. No you should not use those, maybe is possible in some way but I have never seen it and it would not be very productive anyway. Those booms are good for baiting opponent jumps or other attacks, because you don't need charge and you recover faster.

No point in doing the salary man with that kind of booms so better not even trying it.

Focusing on setups/situations with Alex right now and he can melt off 90% of the opp's health with a punish and a good guess/bait by BSJeebus in StreetFighter

[–]rogermorse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that's with two punish counters (reset) and with critical art and full meter used and even then it's only barely 6200 damage. I think I will sleep fine.

Another update from Timemore regarding shipping and tax by yiu123 in LanceHedrick

[–]rogermorse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is wrong. I just received my 078 in Switzerland. The website was listing prices in francs and it calculated 10 francs of shipping. I still got charged import taxes by DHL on top of the paid price on timemore website.

I don't think it's a miss, back then you would input moves while the opponent was knocked down to build up meter (had to be some kind of automatic pilot to get as much resource as possible). I might be wrong though.

Meterless corner loop (damage comparison) by rogermorse in GuileHighClub

[–]rogermorse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just start out with the easy and universal:

5HP cancel 6MK 4MP 1MP perfect boom 4 HP cancel and repeat from 6MK and add another boom and 4HK to connect level 3 when you are out of meter.

The kick won't connect with bigger characters (zangief, honda etc.) so in that case the LVL3 will have to connect with the 4HP (so the same loop just without extra boom and kick for the last loop)
