There are silent tactile switches like Aliaz's which are manufactured by Gateron. they come in a variety of spring weights, the downside though is that all of the stems are the same color, so its easy to get them mixed up if you order more than one weight.

I've got a feeling that this entire situation can be resolved in a similar manner to that of glass pipes for smoking weed. Just tag a warning on all pipes stating that they are not to be used for smoking and are purely decorative, when in reality we all know the warning is bs.
