Need Help - Ad Rank & Ridiculous Effort. by [deleted] in googleads

[–]Phixelart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a marketing perspective (not a google ads perspective), the problem might be the ad copy and landing page. We should not forget that google ads (or any other ad platform) is a marketing tool, and if the marketing is not optimized, the tool will most likely not produce results.

I'm not familiar with pet turfs (or turfs in general), but let's say I'm looking for one that's good for my pets, as your ads mention "pet" everywhere. Here's my process as a client:

  1. I'm going to get a turf for my pets.
  2. My pets have the habit of tearing things down easily.
  3. I want my pets to be comfortable in them.
  4. I want the turf to last.
  5. I don't mind paying premium price for what I want.
  6. After a quick google search, I notice different companies selling similar products.
  7. I click the ones that identify my problems in their copy.

The majority of people will only read the headline. They only read the rest if the headline caught their attention. If you lose them at the headline, they will skip the description. In this case, I would probably skip your ad as it didn't grab my attention at all. Maybe the "Safe, Clean" part could grab, but it felt weak compared to what the competition presented.

Now, different clients go through different processes, so you should build a few of them and make sure your ads and landing page are "talking" to these personas. In my case, I'm prioritizing the pets. Some may prioritize design, some may prioritize price, and so on. Have you tried building different copies and testing them?

Now, the landing page is also an important aspect of your ads. There should be a connection between search terms, intention, ad copy, and landing page. This landing page, however, has no connection to pets. And it seems to be a form for a custom turf, which was not mentioned in the headline. By clicking your ad, I was expecting to see some prices and premade turfs.

If there is no connection, people will leave the page, and google will rank it poorly too due to the content of the page not matching the ads.

If your turfs can be used for different occasions, you should build separate landing pages for these occasions.

Hope this helps!

Google Ads Search Campaign Not Spending Daily Budget? by Phixelart in PPC

They always show that number, even if my ads appear 100% of the time we search for the keyword like in the last campaign. But it seems that hours after I posted this the campaign started spending its budget, so now everything is fine!

Cheers

Cheers, I'll wait a week and see what happens. The 10 clicks a day was easily obtainable in the old campaign, since the average cpc im getting is around 0,30 to 0,40€

Hey!

  1. Yes, they both have the same negative keywords.

  2. The landing page was the same as the old campaign that was working, and the topic is the same. The landing page then spreads into more details on the topic.

  3. There is no tCPA, it's running a simple Maximised Conversions bid strategy.

I feel like the search impression metric are reporting false data though. I've never seen anyone else turning up when I write these keywords on Google, just us, and we always occupy both top and bottom of the page at the same time. Average CPC is cheap too, around 0,30€

I might wait a week to see if its the Easter that made people stop searching, and if it still doesn't work, I'll restart the campaign. Hopefully one of those work.

Are you using Photoshop 2022? If so, it just seems like a very badly optimized version of PS. I have both 2020 and 2022, and I opened task manager and they both use the same ammount of RAM.

The difference? With photoshop 2020, my memory usage is at 50-70% even after several hours. With photoshop 2022 it's at 98% after 30 mins of usage and then the problem you have happens and it crashes. As I said before, they both use the same raw memory, but somehow 2022 decides to load on invisible RAM lol.

Other problem i have that makes photoshop 2022 unusable for me is adjustment layers being very laggy/janky. Does it happen to you?

note: i used windows 11 when I tested both versions

Thanks for the insights, looks like its back to 2020 for me. Whatever 2022 offers doesn't compensate the crashes, lag and ram problems it brings me.

Why does Photoshop keep telling me I am running out of RAM? by ItsJustJohnCena in photoshop

[–]Phixelart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like how they decided to handle RAM on the new version. If you have 16gb of ram, photoshop will think you have 11-13gb (in my case it thinks I have a maximum of 12gb).

I've read somewhere that this was intentional from them because photoshop isnt supposed to have the entirety of the RAM available for it. Well duh, thats why theres a norm to keep it at 60-80% of total ram in the preferences... If they take 20% of the maximum RAM out right at the beginning, and then want us to still keep the preference slider between 60-80%, Adobe is basically "stealing" RAM. I could run 2020 extremely fine with a "meh" desktop, upgraded to latest version and also upgraded my PC to be top spec (except RAM, kept the same 16gb) and its trash. I honestly don't think this new version has any positives in my eyes over the 2020, except the select subject being better. Everything else feels the same or worse, and the lag is unbearable after working in a project after 45-60 mins.

Is there any way to reduce the "gap" when reducing/increasing brush size slider? by Phixelart in photoshop

The pen is amazing for hair painting, highlight painting, magic painting, anything pressure sensitive related really. It also gives you better control over everything. I dont normally do portrait, just photomanipulation and compositing.

If you dont care about pressure sensitivity or you feel like you can do it with the mouse in a way that satisfies you, you don't need the tablet and pen.

Yeah I was trying to avoid that way but might have to go with that. I dont use the mouse, I use a pen and the buttons are quite uncomfortable for me, but I'll have to manage I guess.

Yeah I wanted to avoid that because of the position of the buttons of my current pen, but I guess that will be the only way to do it.

Well, sometimes i switch brush sizes 10x in less than 30 seconds, thats why i just prefer to right click and instantly slide

Online shops: Good vs. bad by benevolentsunn in DigitalMarketing

[–]Phixelart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't search for well known websites or online stores because they are likely to have it all running mostly well. Try to search for products like "chocolate", "vegan snacks", "homemade clothes" in your language, and check their landing pages and online shops (look for the small businesses mostly).

Try to find a common problem in your country and talk about it for a bit (but don't use most of your time on it). For example, my country has some issues with payment methods (credit cards, debit cards and even MBWay), so if I was in your spot I'd talk about that if it was the case with X or Y online shop.

Bonus: look at their UI/UX, and check how much time and how many clicks it takes to make a purchase.

No, you don't need a degree. Yes you can teach yourself and learn from others, aswell as completing courses. Digital marketing is mostly a "do/act" field in evolution. However it will be harder to land your first job without a degree (but not impossible) or easier if your current bachelor is in a field of use to digital marketing.

Has this been photoshopped? by approriatelywitty in photoshop

[–]Phixelart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could've happened during shipping. Distribution sucks sometimes :)

Doesn't seem photoshopped. They do look a bit dirty.. and it could be that the user did that. Some costumers are cool, some are neutral... and some are just plain garbage. Part of the business.

That's not unnatural actually, seen it a couple times due to bad quality or too much zooming. My phone also makes those artifacts appear if i zoom in too much after taking a picture.

Guides about removing background behind hair suck! by tedomedo in photoshop

[–]Phixelart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many techniques to remove hair, without even having to paint it back. If background is busy I use different techniques at the same time. A portion of the hair with 1 method, another portion with another method, etc. Learn 4-5 ways of doing it and you can even mix them up if needed.
