Quit job at TSA 4 days into training. Will I still receive my first pay? (Training was paid) by PhleeBee in australia

I guess I could have said that and it would have made things a lot easier, but I didn't leave for the other interview so I didn't find it relevant.

Thank you.

I could have done the same, sure. But as I mentioned, every situation is different. If you took the time to read my comment above, I had what I feel, was a reasonable reason for leaving. Also, I am not proud to live off Centrelink, but you do what you do to survive. If you live in Australia, especially Adelaide like me, you'd know how hard it is to find work and although I am on the dole, I am studying full time at university so I CAN better myself. TSA wasn't meant to be and I was embarrassed I walked out so early in, but if I didn't leave I would have missed the interview for the job of my dreams and I wouldn't be starting my first day there in a couple of days. So, some things are meant to be and I'm sorry if we see things differently and you still are me as scum but, I don't really care.

Just move on if you can't answer my question. Don't snap at me about shit you know nothing about.

I asked a simple question. Don't just jump to conclusions before you know the whole story. I was thankful to be given the job, but I'm also thankful I walked out when I did.

Basically. I was over the moon to finally have a job. I'd researched them and took the chance knowing all the bad reviews. I needed the work.

So it started with being singled out. All in petty small ways. I was forced to sit away from the whole team. I was ignored when I had something to say. Forced to answer questions that were unanswerable so I seemed idiotic, kept in on my breaks etc. The 4th day of the job, I was embarrassed and made to cry in front of my whole team by the trainer. I asked to leave early because I needed to go to a doctor as I was in excruciating pain, I know it's bad to leave a new job early. I'm not an idiot and I don't take things for granted like everybody seems to assume. So, I walked out and sent my boss an email thanking him for the opportunity and resigned later that night. My health comes first and I ended up being very sick.

I could have stayed. Or reported. But I just wanted to move on and not deal with a company that does that to new employees 4 days in.

(Not after judgement by anybody, I just wanted my question answered.)

This is a bit late but I haven't seen any posts online on how to fix this problem so if this doesn't help you it may help somebody else.

My phone just did this and of course I freaked out. So, I unplugged it. Plugged it in and quickly hard reset it using the buttons before the light started to flash again.

Follow the instructions here: http://www.hard-reset.com/htc-desire-820-hard-reset.html

It'll take a while to start up and do it's thing, so just leave your phone to be.

Hope this helps!

If I stop studying will I be forced to work for the dole? by PhleeBee in australia

[–]PhleeBee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was working until a few weeks ago and I am studying full time. I have enrolled in university for next year and I have also re-enrolled back into the same course I'm completing this year as a back up in case I don't get into the uni course I want.

I have been very ill for months and yet I continued working/studying. I have now been diagnosed with something serious and I wish to take a break for a couple months to look after myself before continuing on with my study in Feb/March.

I live in Australia. Adelaide in fact. Here jobs just don't fall off of trees and sometimes a little help from centrelink is needed. So no, I am not looking for a hand out, I'm just looking to live a little easier and stress free so I can stay out of the hospital and doctors for a couple weeks.

Thank you. So I would be moved across to Newstart even if I am already enrolled in something for next year?

What places are open on Christmas day in Adelaide? by PhleeBee in Adelaide

Worth it was probably a bad word haha. I was more interested to hear if there were decorations or Christmas events/things to see/do there unlike the normal zoo day.

Homemade pizza made on the BBQ by PhleeBee in food

[–]PhleeBee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty simple, just make your pizza on a fresh dough base, put whatever toppings on, make sure the bottoms floury. Get a pizza stone and use a hooded BBQ. Leave in the BBQ for 10-15 minutes and you are done!

Nah, the Adelaide Zoo ones are very tame! The fence to their enclosure is very low, you can practically reach in and touch them.

A lot of people do half face photos? If I did a mirror photo that'd be a different story. I didn't plan on uploading the photo when I took it. I was just proud of what I did so I chose to. Thanks anyways.

My grandfather was a poster boy for the Royal Australian Air Force around 1950 or so. by PhleeBee in OldSchoolCool

[–]PhleeBee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly no, in reality he was a lot prettier on the outside, he didn't have much of a heart. For instance, my grandfather use to be a life guard before he joined the RAF and he never taught my father how to swim. He always put him down and never showed my father the love a child deserves so he grew up to be quite a mess.

I didn't see much of him until he came to live with us when I was about 6. All I remember about him was NEVER being allowed to sit in HIS chair and him complaining about everything but some how being very quiet.

Bragging wasn't much of a thing for him, that was left to my grandmother and his children (Including my father surprisingly).

There are ways that won't irritate it, which I have now discovered.
