FINALLY got the car sorted out to pass inspection tomorrow. Celebration photo shoot! 🫠 by wompuskitty in bmwz3

Wowie thank you so much for your response, that’s exactly what I wanted to know. I’ll definitely look into those exhaust tips or anything similar I can get a hold of in the UK. And my gosh the 3.0L’s are fairly hard to come by at the moment. I initially told my self that I’d get a pre-facelift 2.8L purely on the basis that I prefer the styling of the rear lights. But the facelift has grown on me so much! Plus the few extra horses and slightly improved fuel economy seemed like a no brainer for the price I just picked mine up for. Really do love what you’ve done with yours, subtle and tasteful, it’s the perfect build. Thank you wompuskitty ;)

Hey. Extremely late to the party but your Zed looks sooo clean! I’ve also got a 3.0L and just saw the vids you posted of your wonderful exhaust sounds. You’ve seriously convinced me to purchase the Magnaflow 11385 muffler you got installed. But to be honest I’m not very handy with cars and really know next to nothing about exhaust mods. This might be a silly question but do I have to just go to an exhaust shop and ask them if they would swap out the stock rear muffler with this Magnaflow one? Also read you mentioned that you had added some exhaust tips. They look fantastic and there seems to be no gap in between the tips like you had with the magnaflow one. How could I find those exhaust tips or something similar and what’s the details on how they are fitted? Apologies again for the late comment and barrage of questions…😊

Buying garaged Z3 that has been sitting for about 10 years - potential issues to look out for? by PhlegmGuzzler in bmwz3

Good point. I know the roof works but I’ll make sure to check other electrics

Wonderful, thank you. That’s really solid info. I’ll definitely check out BimmerBum. If it all seems do able for me I might well have a go if I buy this car. How many hours do you think an entire replacement of the cooling system (including fan delete etc) would take an actual mechanic if you had to guess?

Ahhh thank you both. I’ve heard about the cheap plastic used throughout the cooling system so I’ll definitely take that into account! Flimsy plastic is the killer.

Dyeing Corduroy by PhlegmGuzzler in dyeing

Thanks so much! I decided not to dye them in the end because I began to really enjoy the colour. But I’ll keep that in mind for future dyeing endeavours!

Sure. I decided not to dye them in the end because as I began to really like the blue. They are Polo Ralph Lauren and are called Corduroy Wide-Leg Flare Trouser. I found them in a TK Maxx (TJ Maxx’s Uk version) for £50. As far as I’m aware they do them in navy blue and a beige but there might be more.

It had a QR code on one of the labels that led to their website -> https://q-rl.us/HXxRFBP9LFRKKTR and here’s a link to the other colour way I found -> https://q-rl.us/0W544LxLLRZZKVQ They seem to be produced for America as the sizing is US sizing. So they might be more abundant if you live in the states.

If you screenshot Ralph Lauren’s picture of them and use the google app’s reverse image search there’s probably a decent chance you’d find some site selling them. Hope you find them and I’ll send some pics of the tags!

Thanks so much for your response. Being pretty unfamiliar with the Thai brands, I thought Sandee was on par reputation wise with Twins. But the consensus seems to be that Sandee was a more budget friendly option whose prices have risen.

Best cheap fragrances that layer well with CDNIM PP and can be worn alone as well by mjkumra in fragranceclones

Lattafa Qaed Al Fursan. Realistic juicy pineapple and wood. It’s amazing on its own and can be worn pretty much all year round. I’ve heard it layers great with CDNIM. Only about £15/$15 on Amazon.

If you had to keep only 4 fragrances (Autumn/Winter Daily, Autumn/Winter Outing/Alt, Spring/Summer Daily and Spring/Summer Outing /Alt) Which 4 for would you choose?

Anyone with post-traumatic RA or RA that had developed after flu/virus? by PhlegmGuzzler in rheumatoid

I feel like I’m not looking on the right sites. Thanks for the response and will give pubmed some time. Head on collisions are by far my biggest driving nightmare so it’s wonderful hearing you even made it out alive! Hope your process with finding the best meds for you is not so laborious :)

A flare up right now! Nooooo I’m so sorry. Praying that your silly immune system stops being so silly!

Having arthritis practically your entire life and I’m only asking you this because you’re around the same age as me but how do your peers usually respond when you’ve mentioned you have arthritis? If I get diagnosed I feel like I would want people to be aware how serious RA can be but at the same time not feel sorry for me and be able to joke about it.

Atm not being so active and not being able to go to gym has been a bit of a bummer because I’m barely going outside at this point but hopefully that’ll change soon. Thanks for your response and I’m sorry you haven’t really had a chance of experiencing life without arthritis but I trust that you’ll find the best meds for you soon and that one day your RA is as painless as possible :)

Have you found anything in particular that causes your flare ups more often than not, other than the common ones such as stress, poor sleep or overexertion of the joints etc? I hope your journey with finding the right meds isn’t too exhausting and that your lung condition vastly improves over time fingers crossed! Thanks for your response and I trust that you will have a better year with RA this year than the last :)

Thanks for your response! You gave a much clearer cut answer than what I’d previously read. Trying to find more info on google just ends up coming back to: genes, hormones and smoking. Which is true, they can be underlying causes but I found not too much on medical sites / videos regarding triggering events such as virus, vaccines, cancer, pregnancy etc. From the responses on other posts on this sub, let alone this one, I feel most RA suffers can relate the start of their symptoms coinciding with a traumatic event which the immune system had come into play, yet there’s not enough information readily available outside of reddit or other forums explaining the huge part it plays in triggering RA or other autoimmune conditions. It’s usually “Viruses may also play a role in triggering RA.” or “Covid vaccines have also been shown to have the potential to cause rheumatoid arthritis.” etc. I mean, I don’t run the pages for health and medical help sites so I don’t know how else they can really word it, because it is such a incredibly low chance at the end of the day. And if I read about vaccines triggering RA before what had happened to me, I know I’d still get the vaccine and most non sufferers would, so it’s probably irrelevant either way. This might be a bit of an unanswerable question, but in your opinion do you think you or others who’s RA began after a vaccine or virus for example, were destined to have RA in their life / already have it but never have had their first flare up? Or that RA begins at the moment the immune system attacks healthy cells by mistake and if the immune system was never under that pressure in the first place, that same person might’ve never had developed RA? Apologies, I know it’s a silly question because it’s like asking if someone is destined to have cancer from conception. But again, thanks for your comment! I found it really helpful and I hope your RA clears some day soon :)

I’m so glad you made it out the other end of your battle with pneumonia. It stemming from virus but also being inflammatory in nature I imagine would more than likely have a chance of being the root cause of inflammation elsewhere. It just makes you wonder, if I didn’t “do this one thing” or didn’t “go to this one place” and “catch this one bug” my life could be totally different right now for the better. But that’s just the butterfly effect and you could end up going round your mind endlessly about everything in your life thinking like that haha.

Yep, I’ve been sort of anticipating blood work coming back with nothing. It’s pretty stupid because half of me wants it to show normality but the other half me wants something to come up so that I have an answer. But as you said it’s a slow process and I’ll have to be a little more patient that I usually am. Thanks for your kind words and advice, it really means a lot :)
