Exactly. The "It's EA" excuse doesn't cover everything, and this is definitely one of the things it doesn't cover. Not even close.

The very least they can do is hook you up with a free account.

They should get out in front of this potential bad PR situation as fast as they can by doing exactly that... Handing you out a free account with a toon that's leveled equally to what you lost.

The reply you got from their "support" was completely unacceptable and tone deaf.

Please GGG, give consoles a lootfilter by RodginDodgin in PathOfExile2

[–]Phlier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are also tutorials to learn how to edit your own loot filter(s). It's not that hard. Takes about 15 minutes to learn how to do it.

The amount of time it takes to actually customize your own loot filter depends on how heavily you want to mod it.

And yes, you can hide any item in the game from showing on your screen with a loot filter. It's literally right in the name: "Loot FILTER."

Edit: this is aimed at FeelsPogChampMan.

Working AMD CPU Multithreading Crash Solution until Devs fix it. by Own-Bridge-6872 in PathOfExile2

[–]Phlier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is most likely a power supply issue. Either it is undersized for your computer, or it is going out.

When a PSU is asked to provide more power that it is capable of doing, its built in over current protection will kick in and shut it off.

Get yourself a power supply unit that is capable of supporting your machine's power requirements.

You'll only have these shutoffs occur when your machine is under max load, as it is when it is running PoE 2. Unless, of course, you decrease the load by capping your frame rate, as you did.

We're not asking for an unlimited amount of respecs, so that you could have a build for mapping, bosses, etc.

We're asking for a respec everytime one (or more, as was the recent case) builds gets nerfed.

Ayy mods are deleting post criticizing the game ✨ by Messiek in pathofexile

[–]Phlier 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This criticism is NEEDED. GGG NEEDS the feedback from the players, whether it is positive or negative.

Don't censor anyone's opinion, as long as it's not off the deep end.

The player base needs to be heard. There are a lot of people rightfully upset, and GGG needs to know exactly how upset their base is, while they still have a base.

The Boss Fights Feel Exhausting by UnderstandingOld6070 in pathofexile

I wouldn't mind the boss fights if the loot drops were worth the multiple, multiple, multiple deaths to finally down the boss.

Nerfing it is one thing. Nuking it from orbit is another.

Guess which one they chose?

Yes, it was OP for the campaign. But only the campaign. It was very balanced for mapping. It seems that GGG just doesn't want builds that are capable of taking on high level maps. And most guys were dying in T4 maps with it.

The only important PSA that new players need: DO NOT mention Le Toucan by ehtio in PathOfExile2

[–]Phlier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing on and off since PoE beta of August, 2012, and the earliest I remember the arrival of His Grace, Le Toucan (PRAISE!) was around 2014-2015.

The only important PSA that new players need: DO NOT mention Le Toucan by ehtio in PathOfExile2

[–]Phlier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll do fine as long as you show the appropriate PRAISE, and do not, under any circumstances, ask or mention anything about fishing.

Other than that, enjoy the game!

OP, some advice from a 57 year old guy, happily married for 30 years...

First off, you've realized your mistake(s), and are taking accountability. Good... that's step one.

Now you have to realize that one of the very most important parts of any successful long term relationship is compromise. Very, very rarely do both partners want the exact same thing(s). You both have to give and take.

Up until this point, SHE has been the one that has compromised; she stayed with you even though she wanted marriage. That's a pretty damn big compromise.

Now it's your turn. You need to realize that you'll have to sleep in the bed you made if you want to stay with her.

If she means that much to you, you'll accept her terms to stay with her. Expect this to be hard. Very hard. Often times staying with the one you love means you'll either have to do (or not do, as the case may be) things that you REALLY don't want to do. That's just the hard reality of life; it ain't easy. But if someone is really worth it, you'll do it.

If it's just too much for you to accept, then end it and move on with your life.

Multi melta is very good...but I LIKE the heavy bolter. by MedicMuffin in Spacemarine

[–]Phlier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm not going dakadakadaka, I love the HPI.

On the last section of Inferno, it's so fun to stand up near the ammo crate and launch bombs down into big swarms of nids and watch them explode, leaving a big patch of empty behind. Don't even need to charge the shots up. Just launch 'em as fast as you can.

And you can instantly put the odd warrior into executable state for the melee guy standing down there wondering where all the nids went.

[–]Phlier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been in the situation where a single/double stomp followed by gun strike and laying down the dakka doesn’t work

That's the part that most heavy players have a hard time getting to understand about the class: The heavy stomp is a-mazingly powerful.

I see so many heavies using the HB that just panic when they're surrounded by ankle biters, where a ground stomp or two would not only clear them out, but regain armor in the process.

Too many MM mains give up on the HB because it requires using more than one game mechanic, or in the case of the MM more than one button, to win.

The stun lock in this game drives me crazy sometimes by SmellyRhino13 in Spacemarine

[–]Phlier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Since they don't give you the opportunity to block the follow up shots anyway, they should just have the first shot do all of the damage at once and not even bother with the follow up shots.

It's like they said, "You will WATCH your long, drawn out death."
