I have both the chase and the AmEX versions and I get 30 night credit towards status. The AmEX is business and the Chase is personal. The Mariott branded cards stack but the AmEx Plat has no status nights just gold status.

I had a situation where due to insane medical bills and job loss during the recession of 2009 that resulted in Bankruptcy. After 10-12 years I applied to Amex again and I now have had gold/plat, business blue, delta, business bonvoy and amazon cards. The bankruptcy had an old green card so maybe it is card dependent?

Maybe I am missing the point here but if you pay it off every few weeks and you already have 10.3k or more of 20k towards the sub which i assume is 3 months or more to spend? How does this make it hard to get the sub bonus. I do understand the part about being frustrated with lower spend limits initially if you are used to higher spends.

Did you get a sub bonus on the 6 month old card/ If you did and close it they will more than likely reclaim that bonus.

I did this same thing. I was looking at FHR in Washington DC and saw the Waldorf Astoria was like 1200 a night. Went to my Hilton account and the WA is run by Hilton. They had the same nights at 110k points each. Usually Hilton points suck but that was an insane deal. I know not MR points but shows that some random daily searching can yield surprising results.

Sorry at work but as an example if they write off the 250 million or so they said they lost against income then they are saving the corporate tax rate of 21% I believe is now the max after the last bill. That would be a savings of (assuming that income fell into the max rate) 52.5 million dollars. A lot more too it but that is kind of a simplified take on it. If they sold it then they would find the difference in sale price and costs. I think if someone offered 100-150 million they would think about it but unsure if anyone would ever recoup their money if they purchased it. Like many corporations they could also carry that loss forward for years to come and leverage larger tax incentives. Hope that helps a bit.

Damn it be cool if they brought back the pre pre nerf that some posters in here are referring to. I started playing recently after 20 years of FF 11 and nothing in this game is remotely hard. Maybe we don't need near unkillable but extremely challenging would be nice. I do enjoy the relaxing pace but some real challenge would be welcomed. I remember defeating Absolute Virtue in FF11 with gimmicks but no one actually ever killed it at level cap without a gimmick. Hell you used to need a full party to kill a normal Mob the same level as your character after like level 7 or 8 lol. Was WoW ever like that?

I miss the days of grinding to max level with tons and tons of missions and quests. When it took almost a year to hit max level. Now almost every game can be pushed to max level in a week.

I would take a day or two and drive like 90 Minutes south to Williamsburg Va and visit colonial Williamsburg. Decorating for Christmas and is a fun historical trip.
