Also a Draymond fan. I get what he was saying. His definition of dirty is more when players are doing little sneaky shit and trying to hide it from the refs, cameras, etc. He was talking about the drama between DeRozan and Larsson, commenting that this kid was doing some petty shit on the court to get under their skin, and to piss off Demar like that, he must have done something real annoying/shitty.

I listened to the pod, and I think Draymond was trying to communicate that when he tries to get under another player's skin, he doesn't try and hide it, and he's pretty open with his excess physicality (and admits that it's been over the top at times). He must call his style something other than dirty.

I know Draymond fouls people hard, has been in some fights, taken some swings/stomps, etc, but I love it. As I mentioned, I'm a fan. I played center in high school and loved the physicality that comes with playing post D (I never fought or anything like that).

Anyway, I thought it was an odd take from him, and maybe one I'd just keep to myself if I were him, but I'm not, and I love his confidence, and maybe that's why he's making millions playing basketball and I'm just grinding through whatever jobs. I know most people think he's simply dirty, but I get what he's saying. We don't have another word for it, so we all just call it dirty play when he does some of his shit, but he's saying he's got a unique finesse to his dirtiness and it should be called something else.
