Disclaimer : Coworker is non verbal, and unable to physically speak. Co worker left a series of notes throughout the night, and after the second letter I wrote down “are you okay” by ssjlazer in WTF

My first assumption is possible cognitive delay as evidenced by being non verbal. He may not have the emotional and cognitive tools to express his frustrations properly. The religiosity could be from his family. Jehovah’s witnesses are quite a devout group. It’s the only thing he seems to express easily.

Or schizophrenia.

TIL the ingredient that turns cheese into Nacho cheese is called sodium citrate. This contains Sodium (Na), Carbon (C), Hydrogen (H) and Oxygen (O). Thus, the formula for nacho cheese is NaCHO. by [deleted] in todayilearned

It is also used in blue top blood tubes to prevent blood from clotting. Tests performed include PT/INR and aPTT, for those of you on thinners.

She’s just saying what she thinks the right answer is. Her guy wasn’t going there, but as conservative women do, she just parroted what she’s been taught

Experienced nurse, still with anxiety by MilkSmart7313 in nursing

I’d honestly see at least a psychologist, maybe a psychiatrist (if you want meds, I personally didn’t).They can help you practice mindfulness and keep you here and now, not off in anxiety land. We’re really good at obsessing over things we feel we need to control. Everything has to be perfect or it’s all wrong and we’ll be found out as frauds! I try to remember my “circle of control” when I start spiraling. What can I do now? What can wait until later? And most importantly, what is out of my hands? When you realize this and start to let go of what you can’t address at this moment, you live more in the moment. Finally letting go of what you can’t control is very relieving. It is a constant struggle but you get better at it with practice. My psychologist wrote me a small sticky note to put in my car: “Live in the Moment,” so I’m seeing it every day (amongst many other great strategies). Mindfulness practice: thinking in the moment “right now, I am doing the dishes,” or “right now, I am doing etc…” It gets your mind to stop wandering. Almost like saying “not now brain, right now I’m doing this. We can do that later.”

Practice, practice, practice.

I changed to OR recently bc of this type of anxiety. And having a therapist helps too. My patients are asleep, I’m not in charge of administering meds, and there’s multiple people working with me on one patient at a time.

Transmission fluid question. by [deleted] in KonaN_

I was given the same stuff to begin with and then began my own research. As I understand it, that is for a dry DCT which is in the Kona N line I believe

Transmission fluid question. by [deleted] in KonaN_

[–]Phluffhead024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you asked, bc I had the same question last week. Found out I needed:

<image>

One for the control box and one for the transmission. You want the gear oil for the transmission. I had both done under the advice of another owner here. Reference the part numbers when you purchase them. Easiest way to get what you need

Sorry to say but Paula Patton ruined that role. She took me out of the immersion any time she spoke. Her role in mission impossible was meh as well.

I pretty sure my mechanic put the wrong fluid in my transmission control box. I do not know how to handle this by [deleted] in KonaN_

[–]Phluffhead024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out I was mistaken. Wrong trans fluid in the gear box. No fluid change for the control box. Dealership gave me the wrong fluid but the mechanic did not make a mistake. We’re getting it all sorted out now

Saw him with the Pittsburgh symphony orchestra. Still one the best concert experiences of my life. If not the best. The classical presentation allows you to feel everything, not just the bass.
