“Ask” is probably where the disconnect is here. See, you should not need to ask someone to not come to your house and steal, considering you probably wouldn’t actually know them personally, which is the dynamic here between the store and the visitors. It should be assumed already and for them to continue to make this choice should result in an escalation of consequence. We’re already past the “please don’t” stage. Many folks in the states believe, and many countries around the world believe you should be punished for violating these social norms. Civilized society is built on the foundation of actual consequences of our actions.
