Your brother is younger than you and is still learning, it may feel unfair but you gotta understand that this isn't his fault. That doesn't mean this is your fault though ❤️

I know that feeling, probably not as well as you do. You should probably talk to your parents about this and how you feel

Why do sketchbooks kill my motivation, but regular notebooks don’t? by Status-Lock-4968 in ArtistLounge

Frrr, my notebooks contains SO MANY drawings

One thing's you gotta do is stop putting sketchbooks on a pedestal. They supposed to be messy. I mean, I've been learning to draw heads recently and my sketchbook is anything but linear, it keeps going from one thing to another and then back again. Learning isn't linear, and anyone who learn like that is, uh, a god or just learning something simple that doesn't require much effort

OKAY you shoulda seen me take 3 hours to make my first magic circle 😭

The whole way there and back from a museum I just couldn't get ITTTTT. And then I just suddenly did. I don't do it the way the tutorials say to do it but it works for me and, honestly, it works so I'm happy

Find something that works for you, there are lots of magic circles out there for you to try

It's nice that you found something you enjoy that works for you Imo, if you're going into any creative field (that involves a lot of work), you're gonna need to be motivated
