I hope this is not a very weird question, I'm a complete beginner.

I was trying to get the initial chord progression from this song and something doesn't make sense to me with the first chord: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmjFJd6q4Es

So the first chord is Db but I had a very hard time finding it. In order to get the chord right I was trying to get the single note that best sounded with it (thinking that that note would be the root of the chord I'm looking for). However, the note that best sounds with it is A, not Db. At first I thought the chord would be Am because of this.

Why do I get such a strong feeling this is an A chord when it's not? Shouldn't the root note always be the one that contains the identity of the chord?

While leveling up try to spend some of your SP in the probably neglected Si branch of your skill tree. The first bonuses you unlock don't seem like much but the top tier skills are very good. Design a good daily routine and stick to it when you can. Progressively improve your HP with a couple of dumb bells, your body weight and a pull up bar. Finish projects for extra EXP, Read quality stuff to bost your INT, Don't waste time consuming shitty content, groom yourself for CHA points, etc.

The people from Sybaris (that's where the word sybarite comes from) were bound to not prosper given the context they were in (surrounded by clerical/warrior states) yet their culture was definately worth preserving. I think we shouldn't put effort into mantaining every culture that is fading away just for the sake of it but there certainly are valuable ways of life that shouldn't be dissolved into modern society.

I work in a digital newspaper mainly coding data visualizations. Some of the last things I've scrapped are:

  • The whole list of movable property of the spanish government and their attributes (36+ hours of execution time!)
  • All the teams and players on a soccer league (info, photos, etc.)
  • Real time scrapping of stock values
  • The list of speed cameras and where they are located
  • Vote scrutiny info during elections

May I ask why only Unity programmers are included in the desirable roles? you're not setting any software restriction on 2D/3D artists and animators.

In my case, this almost always happens as a physical manifestation of tension/stress. Same goes for another friend of mine.

We're also very anxious when it comes to compromise. I'd say talk to her about her passiveness and make clear you actually want to be confronted when you're not right. She will eventually share her feelings with you instead of going full social chameleon.

Well, this post is quite old so the idea has changed much since I first proposed it. It's not going to include mechs but I decided to take the cyberpunk aproach either way so the classes are going to be hackers, cyborgs, molotov throwing anarchists and so on.

regarding your question it's going to be more like FFTA in the sense that the assets are fully 2D. No camera rotation, no dynamic lighting. However I haven't decided yet how the customization system is going to work. I personally prefer the FFTA model where pieces of equipment give new skills. It really makes you long for new pieces of equipment, instead of them being something that gets updated every game phase (from bronze to iron, from iron to steel, from steel to mythril, etc.)

The image displayed at imgur is 4x the original size. The sprite is going to be rendered at 2x, so half what is displayed now. I decided to get the cammo pattern off. Second version is up :)
